Worst facility and unreasonable service. The air conditioner in our room did not work property and it was very hot and humid inside. We asked the reception to change the room, but they declined due to the availability issue. They asked us to come back next morning. As a result we didn't sleep at all on that night. Next morning the reception declined our request again, saying they needed more time to clean up rooms. As a result we ended up waiting until 14:00 without sleeping. In the new room we couldn't sleep much due to the noise by neighbor guests. It was 02:30AM. We called the reception and asked them to communicate the problem to the guest, they agreed to call the guest. but phone never rang and the noise didn't stop until 04:00AM. The worst hotel experience ever. Can't believe this is 4 starred hotel.

I did not enjoyed my stay here at all. The building and deco is old and need updating. Location is great and the only brownie point. I wouldn't choose to stay there again . Towels and bedding clean but so old that from white went to almost grey

Fantastic hotel that could easily be a 4 star. Very clean, nice rooms, great staff. Breakfast in the morning was always really good & a few minutes walk to the Copacabana. Highly recommended for any stay in Rio.

Workers were great as they were limited cause the hotel was so run down. A/c on lower floors were so old that one went on fire and the alarms were not heard from our floor. Woke up to smell of smoke. Place is so very run down. Our A/c was so weak the we had to buy a fan just to keep kool. Refrigerator was not cold so we had to buy a cooler just to keep our water cold. We had to buy ice cause they did not have an ice maker. Beds were half covered cause they did not have the right size and/or ran out. Worst hotel and also worst experience I have had with Travelocity. I was in a foreign country. Reached out to Travelocity and the best they could do was offer a hotel in the worst area. So put me from the frying pan into the fire. They offer to call the hotel when I got back for a discount and also a credit from Travelocity. Told me they would call me back. Have not heard from them. Will not use their services in the future.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the Copacabana/Leme beach area. I have been staying there for the past 6 years, after selling my apartment nearby. It is the only hotel for that prize point that includes complimentary breakfast, a decent gym and a small pool. The pool is really small, only 12 ' x18' and less than 3' deep; more like a big Jaccuzi. The hotel's location is unbeatable, 3 minutes from Copacabana beach, 6 minutes from the Rio Sul Shopping Center and 9 minutes from the metro. Ask for a room in that back, as not to face the busy Princesa Isabel Avenue.

This is my first time in my life that you are not allowed guest to visit u in ur room, i paid for my room and i can bring who ever i want to bring. I've travelled the world this is my first time this happened to me. and the other condition the can allow u to bring guest but you have to pay Brazillian $ 150 per guest to visit. I m very dis appointed. the people are great but the rules are out of the world.

Everything was nice, the only thing was that there was no option to decline house keeping. Also, one night they made the bed without sheets, and they moved the towels in the bathroom such that we no longer knew who had used which for faces or hands. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the location was great.

Awesome stay!!
The room is very cozy and everything is super clean. The bed is super comfortable, the pressure in the shower is amazing, the staff is very friendly. My only complaint is the breakfast. If you go after 8, there isn’t much left. And it takes a long time until they replace what is missing on the buffet. I still could find something to eat, so I am still giving it 5 stars. I just think they could improve their breakfast system, anyway I had an amazing stay and definitely recommend them! It’s super close to the best part of the beach, where the water looks cleaner!

Nice hotel 3 blocks from Copacabana. 2 blocks from a Metro station. Very well guarded and safe at night. The only bad point would be the pool because is not a real pool. It is the size of a fountain so I was disappointed and could not use it.

Nothing except the location. We did not feel like we were staying in a 4 star hotel. It needs major overhaul. Internet barely works in the rooms and in the common areas, we did a speed test and got 2G speeds for WiFi. The pillow covers were torn which was absolutely ridiculous. The bathroom had no exhaust/ventilation so the clothes took forever to dry up. There was no shower gel, just a bar of soap. The handle to the bathroom came off while using it, the repairman did a lousy patch work of it since it came right off again in a few hours. The room was not insulated against noise from the streets. At the breakfast there are only 2 staff catering to the entire hotel, hence there were no free tables since dirty dishes were piling up really fast, which we had to move ourselves every single day. We have stayed in better family owned pensions than this 4 star hotel.

The rooftop pool area was decent, but they often didn't have towels up there to use. The hotel feels a bit older but the rooms are at least comfortable and spacious. The free breakfast was great and it was an excellent location for catching ubers to the rest of the city and you could walk directly to Copacabana Beach. We would stay here again.

Overall the hotel is ok for a couple of nights. Room is clean, but outdated. If you are looking for comfort, that would not be an option, but if you are budgeting and want privacy instead of a hostel, that would be fine. Breakfast is ok. The hotel is centrally located, in the beginning of Copacabana neighborhood, just a couple of blocks from Copacabana and Leme beaches. I had an issue with the hotel in regards to my luggage. The airline company lost my luggage and delivered on a Monday. Nobody from the hotel told me the luggage had arrived. I was spending money buying clothes until the luggages were there. I could not believe they did not contacted me to let me know the luggages were there. I had to inquire them upon being notified by the airline that they had already delivered. Front desk let me stay a couple of hours past check out, and I appreciate that.

Good value for money hotel in a good location
We stayed here during Carnaval . The foyer and reception were decorated appropriately. It was busy but the service was always prompt and friendly. The hotel's location was excellent, near the beach, shops and buses. Breakfast was plentiful and varied.

I stayed at the hotel for 4 days. It was the best rate I found for hotels around the beginning of Copacabana beach. It is actually located in an area called Leme. The hotel offered free wi-fi and a good breakfast with eggs, ham, turkey and cheese, and various fresh fruits included in the room rate. The juices were quite watered down and not very good. This was one of the very few hotels that had a gym. The gym had a very good selection of Life Fitness equipment with 2 treadmills, 2 bikes and plenty of weight equipment. The hotel also had a very small pool and a sauna next to the pool. The pool is very shallow and there is no way one can swim in it. It is just for cooling off. I did not try the sauna. The hotel does not allow guests in the room which caught me by surprise. I do not know if it is a Rio thing or just this hotel.

The hotel is long past it's prim e. They did not have our reservation in their system and spent an hour trying to find it with Expedia. Although clean, the room as spartan and the bed was not comfortable. The facilities in the hotel are not! I have stayed in better 2 star motels than this alleged 4 star hotel.

I just love to stay in the hotel. As far as I can remember, I have stayed in this hotel for the past 10 or 15 years ago. First time was in 1992. it is nice to see some old member of staff that still working there and that they still remember you.

when I arrived at the hotel recepcionists was very rude, I was waiting more than 30 minutes because she spoke that my reservation was wrong.after waiting, she said she would accept my reservation calls but I was wrong because the site was wrong, accepted me here as if it had doing a favor to me.

Worst hotel ever
Bad attitude of hotel reception, 2 out of 3 a/c units didn't work and the one that did was 90cm from the bed and noisy. Bathroom door handle broken as is the shower handle, toilet roll paper holder broken too. When I needed to cancel my 2nd stay they didn't make the slightest effort to help and this suppose to be a 4 star hotel? This is, maybe, 1 star hotel - would not recommend to anyone to stay there - no wonder they take the money upfront!!! I have been traveling for over 50 years - never had such a bad experience!!!

Wonderful Hotel
A wonderful hotel close to the Shopping Mall on one side and Copacabana Beach on the other. The hotel has affordable tour with agencys that will take you to paridise.

Not my cup of tea.
During my seven day stay at the Best Western Augusto bed linens were never changed. Brazilian friends warned me about the neighborhood which is not safe specially at night.Not my cup of tea
