This Hilton is very well located by Copacabana beach, however it is very dated. Needs refurbishment as it is the most dated Hilton property I have been to.

We really enjoyed staying here. It's right off the beach. It's close to several restaurants. The facility is beautiful. The rooftop pool has an amazing view of the city. The food at the hotel was also good. We were a family of 4 that included 2 kids. This is THE HOTEL to stay at.

The view from the Hilton in Rio is absolutely breath taking! We didn’t want to leave the room. Extremely helpful and friendly staff, quality food and felt very safe. Highly recommend! (We stayed in a Copacabana facing room and you could see the beach, water, cliffs AND the statue of Christ redeemer, just amazing)

Stayed many times at this hotel. This time at a room without much view, facing the nearby house wall outside. They are generally cheaper but if possible try to get Copacabana view rooms instead, part of Rio experience. Rooms as usual nice and clean. Staff members are helpful. Thanks a lot.

It is incredible how Hilton hotels are so different in Latam and particularly in Brazil. If you compare this hotel to Hilton Sao Paulo, the hotel in Rio is bad. And I'm not saying the Sao Paulo hotel is great, but just to illustrate. This Hilton Rio is neither a resort hotel neither a hotel for business travelers, which I believe it creates all the issues. It is really difficult to tackle both audiences. If you are planning to work I do not suggest the hotel, lack of amenities and services. The hotel is old, rooms are outdated and need to do significant investments to keep the pace for a 5 starts hotel

One of the largest hotel rooms I have stayed in. Super comfortable bed and very nice bathroom. Excellent location by Copacabana beach. Very good facilities though gym was on the small side. Hotel is very busy and felt the food choices and quality wasn’t quite up to Hilton standards. Overall, very happy with my stay.

My bathroom was not getting hot shower. I called them so many times from room and personally told at help desk. They could not fix it. Room temperature was staying at 18-19. Too cold no matter how much you set. I stayed three nights and last night at 11 pm guy came and fixed. Area is very unsafe. People are looting. You need to careful for your phone, money, and jewelry. No good service from staff.

Perhaps the best hotel at Copacabana area in terms of location/quality/price ratio. Location, location and location – the hotel is super-perfectly located to visit on one side - iconic Copacabana and further away Ipanema beaches and on the other side the central part of the city, Gunabara bay and other areas. The hotel is always full of international visitors, good vibe and dynamism. Excellent bar at roof, must visit one, obviously for views from the tallest building at Copacabana. The area around the hotel is full of life, day and night, you could find everything around, the beach, shops, pharmacies, post office, cafes etc. At Lido square nearby there are minivans which could take you to both Sugarloaf and Corcovado mountains. Crime is not a big issue like maybe in the past. Just be discreet and reasonable, keep your mobile and wallet in the pockets, not hands. Back to the hotel. Rooms are standard, very comfortable. Most of them are with the beach view – the main thing to enjoy in Rio. Prices are generally reasonable given the location. There are cheaper option around but the quality is much lower. There are few more exclusive options around too but they are very very expensive. This hotel is a perfect option in the middle closer to the high quality end that allows you to enjoy your stay in “cidade maravilhosa”, a beautiful city. One final thing, do not miss the sunset at Arpoador peninsula, perhaps the main thing to do in Rio. Enjoy.
