It was a nice stay, the only down will be the restaurant; the food wasn't very good.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Sincerely, Cristian Ynonye General Manager

Nice Hotel, but not to stay the whole day inside

Pros: Staff, free internet access
Cons: Pool access, menu choices
Location: Supermarkets and ATM's
It was an OK experience, maybe for the rate you can get better facilities or more services, the facilities: gym, pool and restaurant are shared with permanent residents.

More than I could have hoped for!

The suites are literally like an apartment. For 4 girls to have a 2 bedroom place with 2 bathrooms AND for the price we paid, is incredible. The staff is super helpful and very friendly, and many of them speak English- a major plus in a country where everyone speaks Portuguese. Purchase the breakfast option if you can, it's a wide variety and can sustain you for most of the day while you're out exploring. Side note: They have American outlets in each room!!!

Nice hotel in good suburb

Hotel is located in a middle class non-beach suburb. Staff are friendly and helpful and the facilities are very good, although our unit was small, a bit more room would have been appreciated for our 4 night stay. Walking distance to good public transport, supermarket and local restaurants.

4-stars hotel - misleading

No really a hotel as it lacks some basic services - eg. no staff helping with the luggage when check in, nor anyone showing guests the location of their rooms. Hotel lay-out is confusion: reception at 2nd floor, and at one stage, only one lift functions from the ground floor to the 2nd. Location is far from any tourist/shopping centres - taxie is the only viable transport. Staff who speak English are extremely helpful, but others have no knowledge of English at all.

Bad experience

We arrived after a 26 hour journey the receptionist was slow and did not speak English. The room was booked for 3 adults but it just had one double bed and no linen for sofa bed with great difficulty after having to phone family in brazil to speak on the phone to housekeeping we got the third bed made up. We were leaving early in the morning and one of the receptionists spoke good English when we were checking out he asked use to pay for the room that we had already paid through Expedia. He said we had to pay him and then claim back from Expedia. We were not going to do this but it took him 40 to agree it was paid to Expedia I did have my receipt from Expedia but he would not accept it. It was a nightmare won't use this hotel again

A nice hotel situated in Botafogo, close to the metro and bus links. Great pool, sauna and hot tub which added that little extra to our holiday :) A great place to stay if you want to be away from the touristy areas of Copacabana and Ipanema.

We loved Brazil and this was a good hotel

The staff was nice. There were four adults in our party and the rooms were able to accomodatae us comfortably. The breakfast was good. Although I do not think travelers should depend on people in other countries speaking their language, it was helpful that several staff did make that effort for us. I can't say enough good things about the people of Brazil. They are kind to each other, to their children, and to ignorant tourists. I didn't see anyone being rude or obnoxious in two full weeks. I'm going to look more into their child-rearing practices. They have something going on that we need to learn to turn out such nice folks!

Three of us shared an apartment at this hotel, and in addition to being just what we needed, it was a brilliant room with more space than we could have expected. There were two separate bedrooms (one ensuite with a double bed, one with two twin beds and a separate bathroom) which lead off the living space/kitchen. The living room had a couch, round table, and the kitchen area had a large fridge, some pots and pans, and a sink. Plates and cutlery were also provided. Each room had its own TV (so 3 in total) and individual AC. The safe was stowed away in the wardrobe in the larger room. So they have great options for small groups travelling together. We'd all recommend this hotel as a great base from which to explore Rio. The surrounding area is cool (transforms at night time with lots of street bars and a few handy places to grab food). Both the metro and buses are just nearby, so it's easy to get everywhere. There were also a couple of supermarkets nearby so we were able to grab food for breakfast. In general, we were happier to be away from Copacabana and Ipanema at night, and felt safe in Botafogo. On this note, the hotel has a 24hr porter. Consistently we found the hotel staff to be pleasant and helpful (even when one of us managed to break the toilet!), and they were more than happy to help with things like booking taxis. Added in to the fact that we got a great deal on this, then it made for a very happy trio in Rio. (Sorry - I hadn't meant that to rhyme!)
