Very noisy, could not sleep the hole night cars and motorcycles buzzing, also lots of conversations on my floor from 6am. To get worst, I had to deal with the disappointment of my kids when they saw the swimming pool, completely green and completely different from the picture posted on Expedia. I have both pictures saved in case you want to see with your own eyes. I asked for a higher room and opposite to the street but they only had 1 room facing the street. On the end I asked them to end my booking 2 days ahead of the original day but they refused to refund me for these last 2 unused days. I simply checked out without any refund and will now check with a lawyer how to approach this situation. They destroyed my final days in Rio de Janeiro.

I had a somewhat nice stay. I accidentally left a necklace behind and the hotel confirmed they have it but won’t respond to any messages about getting it returned to me. I’ve offered to pay all costs but no response. Very disappointing

Location is convenient. Close to the beach. Copa is somewhat seedy but not to bad. Hotel older but they have upgraded some rooms that are suitable. Gotta make sure they don’t put you in one that’s older. I’d give it 3 1/2 stars

My review will reflect on previous reviews. I'll start with the cons. The bed wasn't comfortable. The air conditioning is noisy. You can hear traffic and people talking outside all day and late into the evening. The hot water water was off for a few hours but they fixed the issue. Now rhe pros. Great location and many places to eat within walking distance. It's two blocks from the beach. Breakfast was included, that was a plus also. If you're on a budget and you want to be close to the beach then it will be worth it to you versus the beachfront hotel's and apartments. I won't be staying there on my next trip here, think I'll go with the Hilton instead.

A bit dated but very adequate
Great location close to the beach shops and restaurants .easy to walk to other main beaches with bikes and scooters readily available. All staff helpful and friendly Room cleaned daily and no problems but i did make full use of the room safe Buffet breakfast plentiful although repetitive The pool and gym are tiny but there is a sauna

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!! Definitely not a 4 star hotel Rooms are extremely dated, beds are not comfortable, showers are not inviting. This place is not as advertised. We saw the room and booked novotel in leme straight away. Best decision ever made was to change location immediately.

The property is good near to beach and have friendly staff. Most important that majority of stuff can communicate in english which is very helpfull for us who dont have proper knowledge of portugese

Noisy old rooms, good staff
The hotel is located at the corner of 2 streets and all rooms are facing one or the other. It is noisy day and night. The furniture is very old but from massive genuine wood. A good thing is that there was lots of drawers and hangers for clothes. The room was serviced dayly and the cleanliness was good. All staff in the hotel were nice and helpful, i couldn't ask for more from them. Breakfast was nice, except the juices which were of the lowest quality. Location can't be better and the price I payed was very good but it is really only for people who can tolerate noise as it really is there all the time.

Perfect location in Copacabana
Great location and amazing WiFi. The rooftop was beautiful with great views of the city. Not the comfiest beds I’ve ever used but still a fantastic place for the price! Oh and great breakfast!

DONT STAY HERE - CLEANERS STEAL FROM YOUR BAGS
I’ve emailed the hotel and have yet to gain a response. After checking out of the hotel, we noticed that some money and one of our credit cards had been stolen. We have been travelling South America for 5 weeks and haven’t had anything like this! They have used the card twice before we blocked it in Rio!!!! (We only stayed at this hotel)We kept that card in our room hidden in a backpack along with some pounds for emergency’s. We are so so thankful it was at the end of our holiday so there wasn’t much to take. I’ve never written a bad review or had anything like this done in a hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE - AVOID IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR BELONGINGS! We are so upset the cleaner had gone through our belongings as it was well hidden in two different compartments, so incredibly dishonest, sneaky and disappointing - I wish we chose somewhere else to stay, completely ruined Rio for us!

Location is good. Two blocks away from the beach and stores. However, hotel staff wasn't friendly. They did not clean the toom or changed the towels in the room unless you begged them. Food in the hotel and restaurants aroumd it are SUPER overpriced! DO NOT think its common to spend over 100$ in one meal in Brazil because IT IS NOT! Hotel staff wanted to make money on all excursions like Cristo and Pao de acucar and for that reason they didnt want to explain how to get there properly w/o the excursions.. Find another hotel that will give you a better service for the price..

Excellent stay.
Our stay was very pleasant. The hotel staff was extra courteous and helpful with suggestions and booking tours around Rio de Janeiro. The rooms were impeccable clean. The shower/bathroom was well oversized and kept clean. The beds were very comfortable. Quiet neighborhood at night, vibrant and busy during the day. Most of everything is located within walking distance. Two blocks from Copacabana Beach. Excelente restaurants around. The breakfast served by the hotel was incredible rich in selection and quality. Definitely will return there and recommend it to all my friends and family.

No Frills Budget Place To Stay!!
One block from Copacabana Beach, located in a good spot. The only room with a/c is the actual bedroom. Small entrance area with table and chairs, which I didn't use. When I was in the room, I spent the majority of my time in bedroom where the air conditioning and TV are. I suppose if you bring food back to the room, you can utilize the other area. Good size bathroom with shower only. Breakfast buffet was GREAT! I think that was the best part of the stay!

Clean, well situated budget hotel
We landed in Rio very early and the hotel was very accommodating. They were able to check us in early and even upgraded us to a bigger room with a king sized bed. The hotel is also about a 5 minute walk to Copacabana beach. The breakfast buffet was also really good - there were lots of food options to chose from. The room itself was clean but the walls are very thin so you can hear other people`s conversations outside your room.

The hotel was good, the staff friend and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and easy. The area felt safe though I think next time we'd prefer a hotel closer to the beach. The rooms were a little small but fairly comfortable. Bathrooms rather small too. Good wifi. Decent breakfast.

Hotel located in good location.
The hotel is located close to the points of interest, shopping area, beach and other places where events are held. The staff is kind and honest. Do you feel safe at the hotel. The breakfast has pretty nice food options.

The hotel and room are adequate. The mattress had stains on it, so don't look under the sheets. Other than that, stuff seemed pretty clean. Don't expect too much and you'll be fine. The location is good - right near the beach, the metro station, and you can walk to the Leme Fort. I probably wouldn't stay here again unless they had cheaper rates than elsewhere.
