The view from the pool and restaurant is amazing. The staff is friendly, kind and accommodating. The rooms with ocean views are great!

The Fairmont is exactly what you need when on a luxury vacation in Rio. Two beautiful pools, a restaurant, spa, gym, and the most amazing hotel staff. I couldn’t have asked for more during my stay. Everyone made me feel welcomed and at home! Marcio, Davidson, Renata, Maria Luisa are the names that I can remember of some of the incredible staff. I look forward to coming back.

The hotel is located in a great spot and has a great view. The room is pretty clean. It has nice new bathroom and bed is super comfy. The breakfast is ok, could be better. The buffet is a little pricey, and not a lot of options at buffet. The beach service is nice but super slow. I would stay again.

Beautiful hotel with great views . Service was excellent. The concierge desk is superb. The concierge arranged for Henrique to be a guide and driver for our group and he did a wonderful job. I highly recommend him .

The location is fabulous, the place was virtually empty on arrival Monday morning, I was not offered an upgrade however despite my status as a gold member with Expedia, as more guests arrived during the week the attentiveness of the staff was not what it was when quiet.

Great pool area and magnificent views. I thought the price for breakfast was expensive especially just for fruit and coffee. The rooms were functional and the WiFi worked well. I would definitely stay there again.

I had an issue with hot water. I had to call the front desk at 3 am one night for a repair. After that, I had to leave the water on in the shower for several minutes to get the water to warm up. Also, the employee for the restaurant and pool area with the "she's the boss" tattoo on her neck area was terrible. Did not make any effort to find me a table at their restaurant even though I was a guest. I should not have to make a reservation if I am staying at the hotel. Finally, I was given no VIP access by this hotel. They did not even offer.

The hotel is overall amazing, location and property itself is excellent. The only downside is that they did not recognize the VIP membership benefits of Expedia, which I’m not sure if it’s hotel’s fault.

Not the best stay
Beautiful hotel but not worth the price. I was met at the entrance by the bellman who helped with my bags he sent me to the 6th floor to check in then disappeared with my bags I had to wait 20 min. to check in because my bags were nowhere to be found and my passport was in one of my bags. There was loud construction across the street off my balcony not the hotels fault but kinda annoying. My room had wood floors that were all scratched up. Also the room was kinda plain Jane. Nothing special The headboard had reading lights built in and the bathroom was small but nice. the elevator has stone tiles which one was broken and your foot kinda sank into. Nice view from the front pool but small swimming pool. Beside the first bellmen incident the staff was great and the bed was comfortable. But not sure I would stay there again
