"Beautiful resort on nice and quiet beach"
We spent a three day weekend at the resort to celebrate my birthday. The resort staff are so welcoming and accommodating. We received a complimentary upgrade from a king oceanfront room to a one bedroom ocean view suite with butler service. Happy birthday to me! It was simply beautiful. Spacious, well decorated. Well stocked mini bar. Refrigerator with enough room for some small personal food items. Espresso and coffee maker. Large living area with a sizable sofa and chair. Large flat screen TV. Full bathroom and shower. Large balcony with a sofa, two ottomans and a table for 4. The balcony with one sliding door from the living room and one sliding door from the bedroom completely faced the ocean. The bedroom was spacious with a large walk in closet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Flat screen TV. Nightly turn down service (closing the curtains, turning back the comforter, putting out slippers, leaving something sweet on the pillow) was something I looked forward to every evening. The master bathroom was enormous. Two sinks, TV in the mirror, shower and tub more than big enough for two people. The grounds of the resort were stunning. Beautiful landscaping, sculptures, lakes, flowers, ponds. The pool was generous with ample chairs and cabanas. The resort never felt over crowded which was very nice and added to the overall relaxation of the trip. We did two private tennis lessons with pro Tucker. He was awesome and it was a great work out!

"Amazing beaches"
My husband and I stayed at the Luquillo Sunrise Beach Hotel for a week in March. Staff and locals were very friendly and helpful. The beaches were the best I've even seen. Lots to do! We snorkeled, hiked, went to the rain forest. Luquillo is a great location that is out of the business of San Juan, but close to everything. Seemed very safe although a couple had their bag stolen on the beach. We kept our valuables with us in a backpack at all times. Easy driving. I would highly recommend Luquillo and Luquillo sunrise Beach Hotel. My husband thought the bed was a little too soft for him, although I loved it. A kitchenette would make this a better stay. Laundry is available a few blocks away.

"Family Vacation"
Traveled with 2 under 2yrs. Family friendly, always had fresh towels and house cleaning kept things very clean, especially with our messy boys! Nice pools, kid friendly. Also have an adult pool for those without kids. My only complaint would be slightly slower service than other resorts we have stayed at.

"Facility was nice. Staff - ok"
The facility had good upkeep and was clean. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Towels always seemed to be an issue, had to call the front desk numerous times for replacement bath and hand towels. The glaring problem is with the food and beverage staff. As a General Manager of an exclusive private club, I understand the importance of training and correct set up. The bar staff had neither. The bar was set up poorly and was not efficient at all. The bar staff were slow, non-acknowledging of guests and did not understand correct bar rotation to ensure all guests get served in the order of their arrival. Restaurant waitstaff was friendly, but food took a long time to be served. I hope this helps on some level.

"lovely room"
It was conveniently nice and close to a semi private beach which was amazing! Compared to other beaches around I loved having a beach to ourselves and the water being so clear and the sand so white! Drinks are expensive and nothing out of this world. We didn't get all inclusive because there are so many amazing restaurant options near by. Make sure you rent a car to get around, other than that pretty nice resort! P.S make sure you go and visit the Carabali ATV park, they are awesome and the tours are just as amazing!

Pocket Guide: Rio Grande, Playa Fortuna Business Hotels

Millions of microscopic dinoflagellates create an otherworldly glow in Fajardo's Laguna Grande, one of Puerto Rico's three bioluminescent bays. Starting at dusk, kayak tours wend their way through a mangrove-lined channel and into the glittering lagoon. Fajardo is also home to the crescent-shaped Seven Seas Beach and the Puerto del Rey Marina, among the largest marinas in the Caribbean.
