Good for the price

Staff was very courteous. We got there 2 hours before standard check in but they still got us in right away. Nothing fancy but room were comfortable and clean. Good for the price

Don't stay here

Pros: Close to where I wanted to be.
Cons: The heating system and water problem. A coffee pot would have been nice.
Location: The aquarium and wineries were nearby.
Poor heating system in room.The hallway was cold. Place appeared clean. Pro b let's getting hot water for a shower. Bed was hard and uncomfortable.The one staff member was polite.

Huge mistake

No heat in the room on a winter night. Turned on the unit assuming it would catch up and warm the room. They had to know the heater didn't work. Woke up at 4 in the morning shivering. They then put us in a new room that had heat. Woke up to find there were no towels. Got dressed and left.

No carpets on floors. Was woken up in middle of night with people talking in hallways. Location served my purpose but I don't recommend this hotel other than the convenience to my appointment.

Painfully cold in winter

One room had a small space heater that never heated the room as the outside door and window had large air gaps. It was a December rental and room never got above 62 degrees which made the all-tile floors very uncomfortable to walk on in bare feet. We complained so they offered us the choice of a king bed with a rollaway (for 2 adults with back problems) or a room in the smoking building (#3) with 2 double beds that reeked of cigarette smoke. Due to pet and smoke allergies, we had no choice but to stay in the cold room. We were in town for a wedding and left a day early to stay at a different hotel due to the cold. If that weren’t enough, the second room beds were so old that every time someone moved in one of the beds they squeaked loudly. In that room, the beds only had 1 person each and both people were less than 145 lbs. The mattress springs left noticeable impression marks on one of the guest’s arms. The ad on Hotels.com claims that there is a private patio but that is just a back door that leads directly to the pool area. There is no patio. Pleasant staff but no offer of compensation for lack of heat. Not only were we charged for all 3 days even though we left early, our credit card was charged $66.36 more than the price quoted on hotels.com requiring us to call to get it corrected-which they did. This place should be rated 1.5 stars, not 2.5. While it is half the price of other local motels, the extremely poor condition of the facility makes it not worth the savings.

Room 206 had no hot water. It comes from another building and we had to run the hot water in the bath for 15 minutes before it reached our shower. Also, there were no keys for the deadbolt locks on the hall doors. Room 208 was cold. Nothing was done to insulate the windows where air conditioners were still in place. However, the rooms were clean and bug free. And surprisingly, the cheap mattress was a good sleep.

Inexpensive & Acceptable

Though this wasn't the most desirable looking hotel & room it was exactly what was expected, considering the price. I made a last minute reservation & wanted something cheap since I was driving from southern New Jersey. The room had cable, a mini fridge and a hot shower. We brought our own towels, sheet, comforter & pillows to make it more comfortable. It was just minutes from the aquarium where the wedding was in which I was attending. If I had to go back to Riverhead I would consider staying here again to save money..only if I was staying one night (anymore I would probably prefer something a bit nicer & cozier)

Pros: The room was cleaned, had all needed amenities, the hotel administration was professional. The room had a very useful Wi-Fi capability with a high-speed Internet service.
Cons: I didn't have any dislikes about the hotel; everything that I needed for my stay was available, including Internet access.

Pros: A place to sleep and the price. But you get what you pay for
Cons: It's very old and the room shows it. Killed a baby roach on the wall. Eww
Try not to stay here. Very old and disappointing. Bedspread was torn, toilet seat would not stay up, sink was worn out. Killed a baby roach on the wall. It was a place to lay my head. I guess you really do get what you pay for. I definitely do not recommend staying here. Unless you are desperate like I was. No do not stay here
