Bathroom floor and walls and door were not clean. Very tired. Parking across street in gravel lot, security arm on gate broken. Hotel way over priced for condition it is in.

Positives: Spacious room, partial view of ocean, room had refrigerator , small indoor and outdoor pools, great location near attractions on north and south shore, nice breakfast included with room, large shower, friendly staff.Next door to Aquarium- hotel is good for families with kids for reasons listed above Issues: noticed small amount of mold in grout in part of shower, one night our bed had been made and the top sheet was missing. Parking is very limited in front of hotel. There is additional parking for the hotel across a busy street which might be an inconvenience for families with young children. While shower was roomy, there is no bathtub, which might be an issue for families with little children.

Pros: Just about everything. But the staff was friendly, warm and so very helpful.
Cons: The automatic lift gate at the parking lot. The card reader has a mind of its own
Location: A perfect location to visit the beauty of the East End of Long Island ;outlet malls, go fishing, great , restaurants, farms, historic long island,
The hotel, which shares ownership with the Riverhead Aquarium, is very inviting and hospitable. From the moment we arrived we were well treated by the staff. The room that we had was very spacious and nicely appointed. I wanted an upgrade but all rooms were taken. This is a summer resort hotel. I would expect that the story after Labor Day would be very different. In fact we are planning a trip after the fall holiday that signals the end to "social summer."

Very nice find. Walking distance from the train station, with indoor and outdoor swimming pool, next to marina, LI Aquarium and Jerry & Mermaid (very nice local restaurant!), close to Tanger Outlets. Very nice, welcoming and professional staff. Not to mention that we were able to check in early at no additional cost! In other words: hidden gem.

We've been to New York many times but never the Hamptons/Long Island. This was a good choice- easy driving acess, close to the outlet mall and some great restaurants in riverhead.

Pros: The location, spacious room layout, comfortable beds and free breakfast and free parking.
Cons: The front desk could be more welcoming, appreciative of and helpful to their guests.
Location: The Long Island Aquarium is right next door. There are also canoe, kayak rentals, boat rides and walking trails along the beautiful Peconic River.
I've stayed at this hotel twice before and like most things about it, especially the location, however, I think the staff at the front desk could stand to be more friendly, welcoming and helpful. They seem to have an attitude like they are doing the customer a favor. I never feel completely welcome during my stay and will probably stay somewhere else the next time. The room prices are ridiculous and there aren't even any discounts available for the aquarium or canoe rentals for hotel patrons (if there are, I certainly wasn't advised of them). When I checked in I was told I had to park across the street and that the rear parking that used to be available for hotel guests was reserved for "marina guests?" Really? I saw many other hotel patrons parking there so, this was a false statement. I was also told that there were no waterfront view rooms available even though I requested a river view. This isn't the first time this has happened with this hotel. The only glimmer of friendliness I saw was from the English/Australian woman at checkout--she was wonderful, but by then I was leaving. Step it up, Hyatt, or I'll be staying elsewhere next time.
