Room product is not 4 star but staff friendly

Posted Sep 17, 2017 on Hotels
This is not a four star property which I guessed by the price (us$ 31/night). Staff were all friendly (no complaints there), but room product is poor- old and suboptimal air conditioner, relatively uncomfortable bed and pillows, limited TV channels. Restaurant has Vietnamese offering only. Not necessarily bad but do not be fooled by "4 star" category. This is really 2.5-3 star accommodation

Beautiful resort, lovely pool. Can't walk to Pho Co

Posted Apr 19, 2017
This hotel locates in a beautiful rural rice field area. Beautiful resort, wonderful and nice pool. A bit far from Pho Co. There is free shuttle bus but schedule is too pace out (3-4 hours), usually only can take 1 way and take taxi back

Great Staff, Gorgeous pool, peaceful grounds.

Posted Mar 26, 2017
We spent 5 days here. Although some elements of the property are a bit worn, new management is making a concerted effort at maintenance and light renovations. All the staff here are great, especially Chau in reception. Great location: 20 minute bike-ride to either the Old Quarter or AnBang beach. Rooms are quiet, overlooking the water/ rice fields or the gardens. Large, quiet, glorious pool to swim in after your day's adventures. We would definitely recommend!

Fabulous Hotel.

Posted Feb 28, 2017 on Hotels
We absolutely loved it. If you only go to one place in Vietnam, go to Hoi An. And the Hoi An Tiverside is a fabulous place to stay. Book a room with a river view. It is so quiet and you can watch the locals in the rice fields across the river. The grounds are very teed and beautiful. The staff are fabulous. Theres restaurants close by but you must dine along them river in Hoi An. It is so beautiful and just humming with activity in the evenings. Old tow is a treasure not to be missed. If you want the beach, make sure to go to An Banh Beach (not Cua Dai Beach). It's a great beach and in a few year will be the Cancun (the good part) of Southeast Asia.

Hoi an

Everything was great. Everyone treated us very nicely. I did not appreciate the last minute surprise on the mini bar for a missing water. They should have handled this as a misunderstanding. I was upset at how it was handled at the last minute

Our favourite hotel

Posted Jul 18, 2016 on Hotels
This was our third visit to the Riverside and it just keeps getting better. The resort has been freshen up a little - painting, remodelled bathrooms etc. our room was spacious and had a magnificent view over the river. The staff are friendly, pool is great, only suggestion is that they have a couple of extra shuttles into town in the middle of the day. A beautiful place to relax and soak up the Vietnamese experience.

Good hotel but with areas to improve

Posted Mar 12, 2016 on Hotels
Booked the hotel a day before arrival & when we got in they didn't have our room ready because they didn't have our info as their registration person doesn't work on Sundays. We were given a smaller room for the night but weren’t offered anything for the inconvenience. I asked for a price difference reimbursement as we didn't get what we paid for but they said it was the same size as the one we paid for. nope. It was a lot smaller. They also wanted to keep both our passports as they didn't have our booking. Staff were polite and friendly. The pool was relaxing and clean. Only had breakfast in the hotel and other meals were in town as the prices in the hotel were 3 times more. The breakfast was good. Getting to town was easy with the hotel shuttle but had strange times. There were 2 times when the bus never showed up. 1st was at the hotel so the receptionist booked 2 taxis and paid the fair. The 2nd time we were in the city and waited for a pick up. Had to call the hotel and ask where was the bus. Got a taxi back and the hotel paid again. Problem was if I hadn't of called, me & 3 other guests would have had to pay for ourselves/walk back 4km. The hoteL website should mention an average price from Da Nang airport to the hotel as we didn't know that we could bargain a fixed price until arrival and was asked by the checkin staff how much we paid. Also no mention of a hotel shuttle pick up. If we had known, we wouldn't get cheated on by the local taxis.
