I need to carry a lot of medical equipment due to work. I have send in a request for a room on 1st floor during booking and call in in the early morning of the check in to request the room on 1st floor. Upon checking in. Denied any room of the 1st floor even I have advanced requested it. The carpet in the hallway look dirty and smell. Staff does not look welcoming. The hotel area look sketchy. I doubt this is the standard of Hampton inn and suite. I will leave if not I will need to work tomorrow. Not a usual Hampton Inn suite standard.

The room was moulded and reek from the cigarette smoke. There was no rooms available and we stuck for that night Seriously couldnt sleep due to the smell. Too much and will never try Hampton suites again for that

We have stayed here before when the hotel was newer and had a pleasant stay. This time our stay was much different. Check-in was smooth enough but our room had an over powering musty smell...like a room the had been wet and was dried out. The bathroom smelled exactly like a swimming pool. I ended up leaving the window cracked in order to get rid of the smell. One elevator was out of order, or at least I'm assuming it was. There was never any official out of order signs out up, just a "caution" sign wedged in the elevator door. The hotel sits right off the 10 and it is NOISY! Especially if you have the window cracked. The parking lot is very well lit, but the entire surrounding area is full of semi's parked down the night, making the neighbors feel a little sketchy. At one point, there was a rather questionable person in the parking lot, loitering and appearing to be high. Made for an uncomfortable interaction as we went to our car. For the almost $600 we paid, I'd rather have the inconvenience of a longer drive than the convenience of staying here again.

very clean, but subpar amenities
Room was very clean and cozy. However, it was very difficult to get around hotel as key cards did not open to the back parking lot. There was no parking up front, so we had to walk in the cold and dark at midnight to get into the hotel on Christmas Eve. The next day, I went down to grab breakfast and there was no food at 930. All I wanted was a waffle! But there was no attendant to refill section. We ended up having to go to Jack in the Box around the corner.
