Positive: good location. Neutral-negative: Poor communication from the front desk person. Did not mentioned option of covered parking. Had to park on the streets blocks away from the property.

This was our third stay in this hotel over the years. We enjoy coming back. The location is great, close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Rooms are spacious and clean. The only improvement we would recommend is to solve the parking as they have only limited number of spots in the garage and in the busy summer season we had to search for an open spot on the streets. Nevertheless we will be coming back.

This is an old top-of-the-line luxury hotel. It has been beautifully renovated and it has retained the dignity that made it sought after. It is on a walking street of shopping and activity. Sanremo is a popular beach resort...and yet, in its midst sits the hotel, a quiet oasis.

The Best Western Nazionale was a perfect location for shopping, restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the beach and seaside cafes.

Wonderful hotel close to everything
The hotel is very welcoming and spotlessly clean. This was our fourth time in Sanremo but our first time in this hotel. It’s now our favourite! It’s in a superb location close to beach and shopping. We loved the breakfast at the rooftop. The hotel restaurant is excellent too. We’ll definitely be back. A big thank you to the hotel staff.

Loved the maid, she was excellent. - Noisy street, even off season and mid week. - Tiny room and small little shower stall, but was that only ours since it was a hotels.com cheap booking? Glad we found the roofdeck with nice views, even though it was off season and cold, it was nice up there. No parking, hard to find.

It’s a nice hotel, however, getting to the hotel to take advantage of the “parking available benefit” (aside from the $27 cost) is very difficult . I drove around 30 minutes just trying to figure how to get the hotel while driving a vehicle. The answer is, you can’t drive up to the hotel. It’s part of a nice pedestrian way with shops and it is next door to the casino. My suggestion is if you’re traveling via a cab to get there then by all means it’s worth it. If you’re driving a vehicle then save yourself the headache and avoid it.

Great location and the best thing was having the superb car park attendant meet us on arrival and advise how and where to park the car. Good room but one small gripe - I think Best Western lets itself down by not including the buffet breakfast in the price - such a small cost to them and means I don't give 5 stars!

The location of this hotel was perfect. It was at the start of the main shopping street/mall and along side the Casino ! We were able to walk to most places from this location including the small beach. The restaurant at this hotel was very good and it's Bar Nazionale was also very good and convenient for a coffee or a drink, or just to sit and take in the atmosphere of this place. I would recommend this Hotel to all.

Good value in tourist season
Hotel was well-located in the centre of Sanremo next to the Municipal Casino (which is very impressive). Rooms were comfortable enough and reasonably spacious - bathroom was large. However despite requesting non-smoking rooms there were ashtrays in the room and a slight smell of cigarettes - not overwhelming or unbearable, but enough to notice. This gave a general sense of lack of cleanliness. The hotel location means it can be noisy late at night, the adjacent roadway didn't quiet down until after midnight both nights. Breakfast is very reasonable (8 euros) but quite poor, particularly the coffee which in Italy is disappointing! All in all, perfectly acceptable, and good value in tourist season, but wouldn't rush back.

Lovely hotel, short walk to beach
Very clean hotel and all the staff in the hotel and attached cafe and restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views from the roof top bar and lovely area to enjoy breakfast. The food was delicious and very varied menu from the restaurant. Spent several evenings taking in the ambience of a the walkway outside the hotel, drinking Aperol spritz. Extremely relaxing and a great place to people watch.

Love this place! Great location - close to shops, cafes, restaurants, etc., can be a little noisy if you like the windows open! Breakfast is great and comes with a fantastic view! Thanks it was fabulous!

The location was perfect, right next to the Casino. The street is on a major shopping street and it is close to the water. There are good restaurants close by. The hotel staff was friendly and they room was modern and very comfortable. If you are coming by train it is about a 15 minute walk.
