This is more for Expedia than the Fives—when booking, the description says “choice of two double beds or king bed”, but when checking out, there’s no way to indicate what’s preferred. This caused confusion at the property, even after calling and requesting two double beds. So on Expedia’s end, a way to clearly indicate bed type would be most welcome. In the end, we stuck with the King size and were fine.
As far as the “upgrade”, we were placed in a dark corner of the property next to one of the main drives and on the ground floor. Our door to our patio overlooking the driveway (again on the first level) wasn’t able to lock. This was a safety issue for us, and the hotel staff was very kind in moving us to the 3rd level elsewhere—2nd room was WONDERFUL with a much better view, better light, and locked doors. We are extremely grateful that they listened to our concerns and moved us.
We noticed the hot tub wasn’t very hot, but thought maybe there was an economical reason for that.
Live band karoake was excellent, water zumba was excellent, and we loved the entire vibe of the resort and those staying there. We made so many friends. The ladies at the gift shop were so nice and lovely. Excellent customer service.
We loved the Marley coffee, but the main breakfast buffet place makes an excellent latte as well.
We wished the gelato place was open more; we always seemed to miss it.
Overall, excellent. Coati were so cute.
