Really nice resort where all of the staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay it was very relaxing and fun. Only thing was wish the food was better more typical Mexican food and better quality.

Our trip to Catalonia was amazing! The resort grounds were beautiful and the staff was very friendly. We upgraded to privileged and it was so worth it! Great spot on the beach daily and access to exclusive areas, services, and restaurants. We loved the number of bars- we felt like we discovered a new one everyday. The food options were great as well. The chefs cooking on the grill were a daily treat.

Food is incredible, staff is very friendly, hotel is impeccable and gorgeous! Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Never a dull moment during our stay!

Ok hotel

Cons: Room maintenance. Food
Hotel was an ok. Wasn't really pleased with it. Long walks to the beach. Room wasn't in a best condition, shower didn't drain and when the complaint was filed they just made water run slower out of the shower. The tiles in the shower were falling off. Multiple times of the day the water would stop running. Had issues with hot water as well. Would be taking a shower and all of the sudden the water get cold or just stops running at all. The food was gross. Meat was under cooked and there would be blood dripping from it when cut in the middle. Beach was ok, but no water deeper than 1.5meters. Lots of rocks in the water. Uncomfortable to swim. Will not come back to this hotel again.

Pros: Employees very friendly
Cons: Drinking plastic cups should be thrown out not poorly washed.
Nice small hotel close to the nice beach and restaurants.

Best honeymoon experience

We got the privilege suite and everything was so perfect the only thing I noticed about this resort is it doesn't have much of that "night life" compared to other places I've been but other than that everything was amazing ! The food, the beach and pools, the staff and the room. Def can't complain. would def recommend this place for everyone but especially for families traveling with kids it's very child friendly !

very small beach area, very rocky, average food

Pros: everything was fairly close, the pools, beach, restaurants.
Cons: hotel rooms need updating, bathroom need updating, mirror on room wall was very small and has scuffs all over. the lighting was very dark in room.
Location: location was okay, there are many things to do nearby.
disappointed with the beach, very rocky, hotel rooms are very old, need updating, hotel average, not impressed at all, average food at buffet, no big selection.

Ok place if you wanna deal with ignorant staff

When we pulled up the hotel was beautiful. Walked in had to wait for 3pm for a check in time. Received our keys and went directly to our room. Upon arrival we discovered that we were given 1 room with 2 full beds instead of 1 non smoking king size bed. Had to wait 15 minutes for a manager to come out to see us regarding this issue. After 15 minutes a 22 year old kid walkes out telling me that he can't give me a new room since they are all full. Asked why would we receive 2 beds when we payed for 1 king size bed ? Was told that they don't "guarantee" beds. Basically you get what you get. Very dissapointing! After 15 minutes of arguing with this child of a manager we were advised that we have to wait until tomorrow for a new room with a king size bed. We would have to check out in the morning and check back in at 3pm. Absolutely crazy. The manager tried calling Expedia so we can get this situation fixed, however, the number that a hotel had on file did not work and he couldn't reach any Expedia representatives. Food is okay, worst comes to all there are always French fries and pizza. Hotel has 5 restaurants but you can only go to 4 unless you pay more money upfront for all inclusive suites. There are 2 buffets and a snack station. Working at the buffet are very honest and try their best to accommodate to their best ability. Beach and pools were ok. Nothing special. Oh and their drinks are very and I mean very watered down. Definitely not going back.

Rude staff, they are not around when you are eating and you need water or coffee. We paid all inclusive but it wasnt. You need to pay more to be inclusive they call it "privileged". We stayed at different Catalonias but I think this was the last time. We were very dissaponted.

Beautiful beach hotel

We had a great time there. The staff is friendly, there are plenty of places to eat and we got upgraded because we went through Expedia.
