Hotel was very impressive. Extremely Clean!Posted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: How nice it was. Everything is very conveniently placed at this resort.
Location: Location is great. Only about 45 minutes from the air port in cancun. We only went on 1 excursion, but it was a lot of fun.
My wife and i were on our honey moon during our week long stay. It was an absolutely awesome experience. Staff was really nice and helpful. Pools were great. Would highly recommend the junior sweat with the walk out pool. Beach was awesome. Only thing we wish could have been better was the food. There were still some good food served, but had higher expectations. Overall, it was an awesome experience and would highly recommend this to anyone.

great hotel, very plushPosted Sep 30, 2015
Pros: great food and booze.
Cons: wifi should be included as standard!
Location: Xcaret is well worth a visit, so much wildlife and caves/rivers to swim in.
immaculate hotel but I recommend upgrading to platinum as this is the only place you will get wifi and free room service. Plus the rooms on the platinum site are spacious, close to the beach and have both and indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi. Food is very good but book the restaurants on the first day otherwise its the buffet every night - which is actually very good!

TROUBLE WITH HOTEL ROOMPosted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: SEE ABOVE
Cons: SEE ABOVE
ORIGINALLY BOOKED THREE ROOMS CLOSE TO EACH OTHER. HAD TO BE ON THE FIRST FLOOR DUE TO A HANIDCAPPED PERSON. WHEN WE GOT THERE WE WERE BOOKED ON THE SECOND FLOOR WHERE THERE WAS NO ELEVATOR ACCORDING TO THE RECEPTIONIST. WE FINALLY GOT OUR THREE ROOMS BUT NOT CLOSE TOGETHER. ON THE FIRST NIGHT, AT 3:30 AM, THE JACUZZI MOTOR CAUGHT ON FIRE AND SMOKE WAS THROUGHOUT THE ROOM. IT TOOK FIFTEEN MINUTES FOR SOMEONE TO ARRIVE TO THE ROOM. HAD TO VACATE TO ANOTHER ROOM. THE NEXT DAY, THE TOILET WAS NOT WORKING AND HAD TO GET THE PLUMBER OUT TWO DIFFERENT TIMES BEFORE IT WORKED PROPERLY. AFTER ALL OF THIS, WE HAD TO GET OUR DOOR KEYS ACTIVATED TWICE. WHY THEY WERE DEACTIVATED, I DO NOT KNOW BUT IT WAS AN INCONVENIENCE TO KEEP GOING BACK AND FORTH TO THE RECEPTIONIST. THE FAMILY CLUB RECEPTIONIST SEEMED TO BE QUITE CONFUSED AS TO WHERE WE HAD TO CHECK OUT. I WAS TOLD THAT WE CHECKED OUT AT THE FAMILY CLUB RECEPTIONIST WHERE WE CHECKED IN BUT WHEN IT WAS TIME TO CHECK OUT, I WAS TOLD TO GO TO THE RIVIERA RECEPTIONIST. I HAVE BEEN AT THE GRAND RIVIERA SUNSET MANY TIMES AND WAS SATISFIED BUT THIS TIME WAS A COMPLETE DISASTER. THERE WERE NINE OF US AT THE FAMILY CLUB AND WE WERE ALL EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

Great hotel for families and couples!Posted Sep 28, 2015
The hotel does a great job of keeping families and adult couples and friends traveling in groups separate. This is great for both groups! The staff is always friendly and there to help and make sure you have a great experience! This is my second time at this hotel and will be going back for a third time for sure!

Front desk unhelpfulPosted Sep 26, 2015
Pros: The pool access room was great all of the bartenders were fun and friendly and the hotel was beautiful
Cons: Train the front desk on customer service and how to be friendly so they don't ruin someone else's honeymoon
Location: We did the jungle Maya tour which was great our tour guide Roberto was the best
The hotel itself is nice everyone was friendly and helpful except for the front desk. We arrived at the hotel at 1am due to a flight delay we waited 30min to get in our room bcuz the keys did not work and the bellboy did not have a key so we waited for the other bellboy. Because of our flight delay the hotel put us as a no show and expedia had to call countless time to fix or reservation but the hotel said there was nothing they could do so expedia had to book us another room for our last night. We told the hotel that it was our honeymoon and nobody said congrats or anything. For our last night they told us we had to change room and could not chackin until 3pm. We walked with our luggage to the front desk to wait for a new room but the 1 nice front desk agent apologized and let us stay in our room with was the pool access room( I highly recommend ) he also had a bellboy drive us back to the room. He made our stay great but the women supervisor was rude and unhelpful her only words were no and we cant.

Pros: MUY LINDO
Cons: LA LIMPIEZA DE LA PLAYA
ESTUVO GENIAL ÚNICAMENTE QUE LA PLAYA TIENE MUCHA ALGA BASTANTE SUCIA, ES LA SEGUNDA OCASIÓN QUE VISITO EL HOTEL Y LAS DOS VECES ME HE ENCONTRADO CON EL PROBLEMA DE LA ALGA EN LA PLAYA.

Wildlife is a bonusPosted Sep 23, 2015
This resort does a solid job on everything. The food is pretty good, with lots of specialty restaurants and a good variety at the buffets. They do not require long pants for men at the restaurants anymore. The pools are interesting and wind throughout the resort. Terrific wildlife with coaties, monkeys, iguanas and birds. Good staff. Clean property. Only problem was lazy, disinterested guy tending the music by the pool. He was always immersed in writing something and never tried to play anything desired by the guests. Other than this guy, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Large resortPosted Sep 23, 2015
Pros: outdoor area, restaurants, pool
Cons: some restaurants required reservations
Location: Myan Ruins, Cozemel, 5th Avenue
This was our first trio to this area in Mexico. The resort far exceeded what were expecting! It is really large, so I'm sure we did not see all of it during our stay. The variety of restaurants on the resort was nice. I would recommend this resort to anyone.
