The property was perfect. Lovely pool and beach. Staff always available to help. My mother is in a wheelchair and they gave us a dedicated lounger with shade for all of us which was wheelchair accessible for the whole week. Excellent service. All the food was of high quality, lots of variety. We did buffet style for breakfast and lunch and a la carte for dinner. My favourites were the Japanese and the Mediterranean. Throughly enjoyed our stay. Loved all the wildlife. The room and air con was all good for a great nights sleep. Room was super clean. Would recommend and return.

This was our first all inclusive resort and it was everything we wanted! The food was great, didn’t need reservations for the dinner restaurants except for one. We were upgraded to a junior king suite upon arrival which was awesome and our room was a “jungle view”. I really loved waking up to all the wild life.Literally on your balcony. The staff was so incredibly kind and attentive. It was a 5 minute drive to down town where you get to really experience the culture and it’s so fun!!!! I would recommend everyone to try this resort

This was my second stay, this time during busy mid march. This is my Goldilocks all inclusive in playa. The beach is perfect not rocky, the food is good, it’s a more laid back vibe (not too much loud partying). It’s large enough to have forested areas with wildlife but small enough to walk. Plus being part of gated playa car allows for easy and safe walking around the area. Will definitely return. Might choose elsewhere if I brought my elementary age kids only because the water slides are more like a tot splash pad and it Has no shade.

The beach and pool area is awesome. Staff are really helpful especially the front desk. Buffet is good, reserved restaurants doesnt have much menu options though. I love how there are animals around the property and we enjoyed the other activities provided like archery and night shows. I'm not a fan of the rooms though, smaller than the other resorts we stayed in considering the price. But they're clean and we were given a chance for an upgrade so we were happy. We just had some issue not finding somewhere to eat after our excursion dropped us off at 10pm. We needed to wait an hour to get something to eat and we were tired. They should consider guests getting back from daytrips when closing the buffet. But overall a good experience.

Huge disappointment. The resort is very old and shows it. But that was kind of expected before arrival. The biggest problem is the food at the resort. That includes breakfast, lunch and dinner at the buffet and the other restaurants. I’ve been to over a dozen all inclusive resorts so know not to expect a lot, but this was beyond tolerable. Simply not able to eat almost anything. Much better choices and available in The immediate area. Stay away. On the positive, the people were very helpful and courteous.

Property was excellent, service outstanding. Seemed to have a great kids program- the only change I’d suggest is something more along the lines of adult entertainment- like a comedy show or performance-- they had a small music trivia game in one bar one evening- that was great- they have an awesome area with a stage and a ton of seating that was only used for kid shows while we were there- I think there’s an opportunity there- still would highly recommend!

Property is quite old but very clean both inside and out. Had many communication problems with the front desk staff. My room was just ok. No hanging closet space. No hooks in bathroom. No blankets for cold nights. One day, they took my remote. Someone put it in the system, when I complained about my phone. The food is great. The drinks are usually good, not great.

The resort is exceptional! Loved the free roaming willife like peacocks, ring tailed lemurs, Agoti, Howler monkies, flamingos and fish in the ponds around the buffets made it feel closer to nature. Loved the resort was a bit smalker than the huge Mega resorts felt more intimate. Customer service from reception area, housekeepers, waiters/waitress, restaraunt hostesses, pool staff, beach staff and security just all staff wonderful. I would go back again anytime! Food was good, but not enough fish options for us.

I liked the property design a lot: lshallow pools along the paths, jungle, look of teh buildings. The room had everything we needed. Staff was very helpful. The pool was beautiful and big. we had a very good time. The hotel was very nice and clean, all the staff was very nice and ready to help us, including on the reception when we arrive and when we check out. Angela on the front desk help us with the restaurants reservations and she was very kind person. The beach was very clean and nice and all the restaurants were very nice. The chefs were ready to help us since I have allergies to certain food. Specially Chef Alejandra and Chef Apolinar were checking on my food and gave me suggestions on what I could eat or not. They were very nice and helpful. We also enjoy the spa and was very clean and all the staff were ready to help us and answered our questions. I want to suggest an area for gluten free food, because sometimes the food was cross contaminated with the utensils or was some wheat on it. When this happened, one of the chefs I mentioned offered me food from the kitchen that was safe of gluten.

The resort is geared to fun activities at the property. The only negative is the expense for a van from the airport. Uber does not serve the airport. Watch out or you might eat and drink too much.

Property and beach were beautiful, location in the jungle with lots of wildlife. Staff and service were lacking, no beach service, unable to get beach and pool chairs unless you wike at 6am, drinks were watered down amd food was not good.

This is an older property. Hot water was turned off after 10pm. We had a pipe leak in the bathroom which took hours to repair. No room service. The buffet was mediocre at best. Some of the unused deserts were served the next day. There was no variety in the alcohol served and it was limited to the cheap Mexican brands. At dinner, they offered to serve higher end alcohol if you paid extra. I have been to dozens of all inclusive resorts and I would rate this at the bottom of them all.

Please allow us to add that the hot water is never turned off at any hour of the day, however, in case any situation occurs our professional maintenance team is always happy to correct any implementation that is not to your complete satisfaction. It is important to say that every dish is prepared daily using fresh ingredients, and because of our Quality & Hygiene standards and certifications, our Chefs do not reuse any food. Great value in a super great beach.
One ef the best beaches of the Riviera Maya. Great scuba diving shop. Great Playacar location. Can easily walk to all restaurants and the beach. Food is of high quality for the type and price of the hotel. Overall great value.

We enjoyed Iberostar Tucan. What we enjoyed, family friendly, safe location, conveniently located, loved the wildlife, beach was easily accessible. We enjoyed the booked Xcaret excursion which we set up through the hotel partner staff. Taxis easy to coordinate. What we found disappointing was the food options. Only thing open is buffet. Unless you make reservations days in advance. No room service at all. Instead you have to walk to one restaurant that is open after hours. Not convenient. They tried tricking us that the only option to watch the Christmas Eve show was to buy a table and a bottle of wine, which we knew was not true. The entertainment was below average including the Christmas Eve circus. We did not like staff wanting to pitch timeshare right when we checked in after a long flight and then turned around called us at 9 AM the next morning. They told us at the desk the only option to eat Christmas Eve dinner was at 8 PM. My husband is diabetic so this did not work for us. We walked up at 6:30 the restaurant was half empty and they got us right in. This again is frustrating the misinformation. That being said would I come back? Possibly if the price was right and there were no other options for hotel stays. I would only go knowing you need to schedule your food options in advance. The rooms are average not 5 star worth. The smell of mildew in both of our rooms. Beds were average. It was manageable.
