Location...location..location! We arrived afer an 18 hr trip to La Pasion Hotel and were pleasantly greated with some red wine and brownies that eased up the travel stresses. Out stay in Playa del Carmen was the first leg of our Riviera Maya trip and we were more than delighted. Everyone at the hotel goes out of their way to assist, serve and make sure you have everything you need. Breakfast is served al fresco over looking the plaza while you are serenaded by a guitar muscician. We wanted to experience Playa like the locals and the staff's recommendations for dining & sites were a 10+. The beach club Zenzi was comfortable with great food. We would definitely return and highly recommend to our friends & family.

Excelente custo beneficioPosted Nov 26, 2015

Location, Service and a Great Deal!!Posted Nov 24, 2015
Pros: Free & delicious breakfast (Not continental, not your typical hotel breakfast!) Calm and quiet atmosphere Friendly staff, great location
Cons: The plumbing for the hotel did not allow toilet paper to be flushed, though this is common for hotels in Playa. An air freshener could help in the WC
Location: Food: Blue Lobster, La Casa del Agua Beach: Kool beach Club
Could not have found a better deal, in a better location for our short 3 night stay in Playa del Carmen. For a late 20s couple on vacation this boutique hotel was amazing. Friendly staff are ready to greet you as soon as you arrive, the small hotel is tucked in between two restaurants just a few short blocks away from the popular 5th Avenue. One of the restaurants doubles as the hotel's free breakfast in the morning for its guests. Service at your table, fresh fruit and even espresso drinks all complimentary with your stay at the hotel! We were surprised to come back each evening to find small glasses of wine and some bakery desserts awaiting us at the front desk. Truly a great experience at La Pasion!

schönes boutique-hotel in guter lagePosted Nov 23, 2015
Pros: das personal die lage
Location: strand 7min. supermärkte 2min restaurants (kaxapa) & spanische tapas nebendran quinta avenida 5min ado 3min colectivo 10min

Very nice small hotel in a great location.Posted Nov 19, 2015
Pros: Everything was very good.
Cons: Price was very affordable.....I should have looked into a room upgrade (possibly more space.)
Location: Many side trips and adventures are available. I enjoyed the quietness and relaxation, but strolling down and shopping on 5th avenue.
Hotel is located close to many fine eateries and 5th avenue. The rooms are small, but adequate. Breakfast that was provided had a good selection of offerings, with the service being excellent and the food very good. The hotel has 2 pools, one of which is surrounded by palms and other tropical plants....very nice! WiFi was provided and worked well. Hotel is very clean and the staff friendly and always available.

Fabulous "oasis"Posted Nov 19, 2015
Pros: Small, comfortable, friendly with comfortable rooms/beds. very pleasant helpful staff. Close to amenities and attractions.
Cons: Perhaps some upgrading of bathrooms. Lovely old building with lots character so minimal but discreet upgrading always retaining character .....
Location: Location next to Plaza so ideal for access to beach n tourist attractions including trips to Chichen Itze, Tulum etc and to Cosumel for scuba diving.
This was a fabulous experience for us. La Pasion is a small quiet boutique hotel situated off the main drag. I can only say that Playa del Carmen is really far too over developed for us - it could be any of the Med's resorts of the 70s. Think Magaluf!!! Just ghastly. But although La Pasion is just a couple of streets back from this tacky Main Street it is quiet and peaceful and is the perfect place for anyone wanting to visit Mayan "Wonders" and just chill and enjoy sunbathing beside two beautiful pools. It's situated on one side of the village plaza and so you get the feeling of really being within a Mexican town!!! Lovely Plaza - lots going on! And a large part of our terrific experience was down to the nicest and most attentive staff - cheers to Pedro and all who made us so welcome ....... They went out of their way to help with enquiries and any problems we might have had. Nothing was too much trouble. Our only very minor criticism was that we had a tiny wee bathroom - really only a cupboard. But I must repeat this was a very minor inconvenience. Also I must mention the restaurant next door - Las Tapas - which was just the best food we found in playa...... And the guitar playing was incredible. Fabulous proficient Spanish guitar players. And so we found ourselves eating there most nights. It was so reasonable too. Having eaten on the main noisy street - we paid 3* as much for much inferior food. And the Spanish classical guitar playing was so romantiic. WONDERFUL😄

Nice stay overallPosted Nov 18, 2015
Great location and nice boutique hotel. The Garden View Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Toilet and bathroom are very small but manageable. The staff were very nice except for one of the receptionist (manager) who didn't provide a good service and even dismissive of an issue that could have been very problematic. However, the issue got resolved and everything was fine after all. I will recommend this hotel but make sure to check your safety deposit box works properly before putting anything in it.

Great value for money!Posted Nov 13, 2015
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Secure parking in hotel basement. Lifts to the upper floors. Nice pool and spa. Overall a nice ambience.
Cons: Maybe bathroom could be refurbished - placement of mirrors, height of vanity etc more suitable for giants! However, we managed.
Location: Convenient location. Easy walk to beach and shopping areas. Nice restaurants within easy walking distance. Short drive to Xel-Ha, Xcaret and Tulum.
We stayed 5 nights and found the hotel met all of our needs. Staff were always available and very friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstairs served very nice meals with a good range of breakfast options. The room was clean, an adequate size and with a large, comfortable bed. The air conditioner worked well. Lovely courtyard garden with pool and spa - very relaxing! Our room overlooked the road and there was some vehicle noise early morning but nothing too much to complain about - a room overlooking the inner courtyard might have been nicer but we were out most of the time anyway. The hotel was small but nicely presented and in a central location. It was a short walk (2-3 blocks) to the beach but the weather wasn't great so proximity to the beach never became an issue. Great for the budget-minded traveller - excellent value for money. We would gladly stay here again.
