Quiet area, private and beautiful view.

Cons: Food, please dont serve italian... we are in mexico. we want mexican food. more tropical fruits and traditional mexican dishes please.
Location: location is awesome, far from the main road, but amazing views and right on the beach.
We stayed for 5 days with a garden view. It was the best vacation! Things we liked: -we had all inclusive so we had unlimited drinks alcohol and food -nice pool area with chairs etc. -flexibility of having lunch by the pool, restaurant or beach -room design -very close to the beach like two steps basically -nice bar staff always bringing us tequilla shots ha ha Things we didn't like: -although food was unlimited, it wasn't the best ever, I had better food in other hotels in mexico (need more fruits and healthy stuff) -the room service sucked, we had to ask them to clean it. -internet wifi even though we had to pay for it it still wasn't great OVERALL - AWESOME.

My wife and I had amassing 5 days staying at Le Rene. Highly recommended. We'll be back again.

Es un hotel bonito pero lejos de las amenidades

Es un hotel Bonito a la orilla de la playa, sin embargo muy lejos de las avenidas principales de playa del Carmen (quinta avenida, restaurantes, antros, quinta alegría, etc) si no llevas vehículo no es recomendable, el personal de recepción no se portó muy amable ya que no podía salir si no entregaba la tarjeta de la habitación sin cargo adicional cosa que se me hizo de muy mal Gusto.

Great boutique hotel

We stayed in Le Reve for 2nights. Le Reve is very nice for relax. We traveled with a 11month-old baby. The service is seperb! Every staffs are ao nice. The room is nice except the air conditional was not cool. And i wish they had a bathtub>.< Overall i like my stay in Le Reve.

Beautiful beach, amazing food and staff

This hotel is very quiet and feels like your own personal resort. The beach was by far the best one in playa del Carmen. We walked from le Reve to playa Esmeralda, and none of the beaches could compare to this one. The others were crowded, dirty, and full of vendors. The hotel only offers one restaurant and a snack bar, with limited hours and options, but the food was absolutely amazing. Best filet mignon I have ever had! The staff were always very courteous and a whole lot of fun! This hotel does not have any entertainment, which was a bummer, but you can take a taxi to LA Quinta avenida, where there is plenty of restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Le Reve is a great hotel for peaceful relaxation and lounging on the beach.

Needs work

Pros: It was ocean front
Cons: Staff friendliness and willingness to help. Quality of rooms and air conditioning.
Location: the hotel is very remote and by nothing besides other isolated hotels. Since it's by nothing there are no options to grab a quick bite.
The hotel is far from the main parts of the city which may be a plus or negative based on what you're looking for. It is right on the beach which is nice but the rooms are not great. The rooms are very basic, everything is cheap and low quality, the air conditioning was very cheap and terrible, it was a wall mounted unit that didnt work well at all. The air conditioning produced so much condensation that EVERY surface of our room was wet including the sheeting and floor which made it impossible to feel comfortable and clean. The floor being wet was also a major accident risk as it made the polished concrete floor slippery, I slipped every single time I got out of bed or just trying to walk from one side of the room to the other, we ended up laying down towel on the floor to prevent us from slipping. Call the staff about it and they said it was normal and that there was nothing they could do. Another negative was the wifi, one it's not free, so we paid for it and two it didn't work which was terrible. If you're going to charge someone for wifi, it should work! The staff was also not helpful. a perfect example of this was them not doing anything about our wet room and the other example was they accidentally called two separate cabs to take us to the airport, the cab drivers starting fighting regarding who was going to take us to the airport, instead of the hotel employee helping with the situation, they walked away and told us to figure it out and choose who we wanted to use.

Hotel pequeño y romántico. NO familias.

Pros: trato, comida, silencio y tranquilidad
Cons: La entrada al agua en la playa justo enfrente es de rocas con erizos...pero no hay avisos al respecto. El wifi es carísimo (no gratis ni desde lobby)
Location: a 10 min en taxi de playa del Carmen pero si pides el taxi en el hotel te cobran 3 veces mas de la tarifa normal :-( (lo comprobamos a la vuelta)
Una gran decepción que no fuese todo incluido. Por los comentarios que incluye EXPEDIA en su página da a entender que es All inclusive (pues solo explica esta opción) y no lo es para nada, ni comidas ni wifi ni servicios...de hecho en la reserva ni siquiera incluye el tipo de régimen (alojamiento, alojam+ desayuno, ...) así que hasta llegar no nos dimos cuenta. No es adecuado para ir con niños (no hay ninguna actividad). No dan wifi gratis ni desde zonas comunes, ni 10 minutos y el de pago (10$/día, única opción) encima va lentísimo y se desconecta con el mal tiempo.
