Your home away from home.

Lots of room--maybe a thousand square feet, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and spacious living room. It was clean and well decorated. The staff was great. The pool is small, but an unusual shape that the kids loved. Floors in the condo are marble tiled so you don't have to worry about tracking in a little water. Perhaps the nicest thing is that you're about a block away from both the beach and 5th avenue which are both fun but noisy. This condo is quiet. Pickup for bus tours is only about 2 blocks away. But if you're going somewhere other than the toll road to Chichen Itza, consider using a taxi. The taxis were cheaper. And the drivers were all very nice. Fares are posted on signs at the stands. So you will know how much it's going to cost before getting in the cab. Go about 2 or 3 blocks in any direction from this hotel/condo, other than toward the beach, and you'll run into a taxi stand. We grocery shopped several places--our favorite by a long shot was Mega. It was nice not having to get dressed to go to a buffet in the morning. And it was also nice not having to think about wasting money on an all inclusive when we were out of the hotel every day. The seaweed is still a problem. And if the wind blows toward the condo it will bring a bad smell with it. But closing the condo door & turning on the air conditioning completely eliminates the smell from your room. This is not the hotel for beach loungers. But it's wonderful for explorers who want a great base camp.
