Nice hotel, excellent beach

Pros: the middle section where you meet prior to dinner. The pool area is nice but the beach area is better in my opinion.
Cons: For us coming from Michigan, the pool area is a bit too shaded, we want more sun areas.
Location: a bit of a ride into Cancun but close to Puerto Morales which is a very nice small town. We did not book any excursions as they were already booked.
Went in for a destination wedding 3 days after everyone was already there and everything was in order at check in. The staff was very pleasant and greeted us with a smile. The room was a garden/tropical view and very nicely appointed. We booked that room not the beach front rooms but had a chance to see those too and they are awesome as well. The lobby bar is a very active place and the wait staff is spot on. We ate at the Mexican restaurant first and it was excellent. the rest of the trip for us was already planned out so that food was excellent as well. the beach is fantastic, the water is calm for the most part but very clean at the beach. the entertainment staff gets everyone up and going and the volleyball court is good.

Nice resort steps from the beach

Pay for the Preferred club well worth it. Bluewater Grill is a must try along with Lemongrass restaurant. Bad service at the beach bar though.

Great hotel. the staff was nice and not nice at the same time. we ran into some excellent staff members and some that were not so accommodating. Hotel is gorgeous. well worth the 4 star. should be rated at 4 1/2☆s.

Great stay but horrible booking with Expedia!

Our family trip was wonderful! The resort was more than we expected! Food was amazing, beach was beautiful!! My only problem was with Expedia once I got to the resort. I will not book with Expedia again! I am a repeat customer that they treated HORRIBLY!

Excellent all-inclusive retreat

I booked in at this hotel as a bit of a last-minute retreat for the holidays. This particular property was chosen based on both the reviews and the price, and I feel we got an outstanding good deal for our stay. We had booked a standard garden/jungle view room but were able to upgrade on arrival to a premium oceanfront with club access, and exclusive use of the adults-only pool. This proved to be the best choice we made, as we spent a lot of time at the resort and saw the crowd swell as the holidays grew closer. Indeed, for Christmas proper it was jammed, but the adults only pool never once felt like we were jammed in. I was extremely impressed by the service, the food and the drinks. When they say top-shelf alcohol they mean it - Bombay Sapphire, Stoli vodka. Not well drinks, but good quality. The food was - what can I say? It blew my mind how good most of the restaurants were. The only mediocre meal we had was on our night of arrival, which was later and meant we were left with the buffet. Mind you, the buffet at Christmas was remarkable. There were minor things here and there that could be improved, certainly. We thought the music was universally way too loud, but we gave up asking them to turn it down. The rooms were a bit warm and the A/C didn't seem to keep up sufficiently, particularly on our last night there (both our room and our travel companions room were 85 degrees with A/C at full blast). These are quibbles, though. In a word, Now Sapphire is EXCEPTIONAL.

luxurious hotel next to beach

Location: There is a cheap massage place if you would walk along the beach. They also make hair with beads at reasonable price.
We had a great time at the hotel. The staff was excellent. Gave personal touches starting the time one arrives at the hotel. They kept common area very clean. Used plates, glasses were picked up efficiently. I felt safe for my 8 year old to walk around the lobby, pool or restaurants. Spa facilities & staff were awesome. Overall, a great experience.

On the Beach, Needs Food Work

I was really excited for this tip. Overall, the resort's hospitality was amazing. We were greeted the minute we stepped out of our cab, room service was quick, the drinks by the pool kept coming. However, the food was just not a great quality. Yes, there were plenty of options but both three out of the four members of our party got sick during our stay. I am still on the searching to find an all inclusive in Mexico that has amazing (and high quality) food.
