3rd Visit to SMB all 3 times wonderful again

Pros: Service, beach, rooms, concierge Miguel. The good breakfast.
Cons: Service in French & Italian dining rooms.
Location: Stayed on resort.
This was our 3rd trip to Secrets Maroma Beach and it was another 5 star experience. The service is the very best all of the staff were fantastic. From our room concierge Miguel, beach waiter Santago, the beach concierge sorry can't remember his name, Henry pool concierge, and Genysis hosting the breakfast they were memorable staff. The beach was great and kept clean of seaweed. Room service was spot on. Food was good even though had a bit of little slow service in the French & Italian restaurants. Pool was clean & the beach beds well worth it. Used Amistar personal transportation a bit costly, however worth it. Room stayed cool even on top floor & was kept spotless. Overall another great vacation & as always met a lot of nice folks. Resort was only about 1/2 full the 1st two days then filled up, but could always find a chair at the beach. Our friends came from Florida to spend the week with us to make a good trip a great one. Until we meet again SMB! Highly Recommended.

Honeymoon

It was my honeymoon. Everything was over the top. It was so good, the people is so nice, they are very corteous. The room is very comfortable and romantic and the entertainment staff have great activities all day. I just love everything ❤️ The food, the beach, the people. People that I can mention and congratulate: Mariano- the concierge, David (Mini Cooper) - entertainment staff and Jocelyn from the reception

Great Little Get Away

First time to Cancun. Friends went to SMB on their Honeymoon, said it was amazing. Well they where right. Rooms are beautiful, service is outstanding, food is excellent for an all-inclusive. Wife and I where between going to SMB or going back to CSA in Negril, chose here due to the recommendation, better food, fancier rooms, and the beach is alomost on par with 7 mile in Negril. Overall was a great time and would definitely make our way back.

Beautiful resort w/ top-notch staff

Pros: The staff, grounds, beach, rooms, pool area.
Cons: The food was hit or miss.
The rooms and resort grounds are awesome, and the white sand beach is gorgeous. The best thing about the resort is the staff...they were friendly and above-and-beyond at all times. The only minor negative was the food. Some of it was very good (the Asian restaurant, the breakfast buffet), but in general it was meh. Not bad, by any stretch, just meh. But I'd go back again, no doubt.

Maroma still great

Pros: Good location, beautiful grounds, great pool.
Cons: barefoot grill was tastery 2 years, burgers and fries not quite as good. Fish had the head and tail attached, not appetizing. Mexican rest. menu poor.
Location: We like the fact it's only a 30 minute drive from the airport. Did not take any outside tours.
We have been there 6 times now but there are a few areas for improvement. Entertainment staff work hard to get guest involved if you want

First Cancun

Nice resort. Good food. Great service Pressure sales for VIP Club. Don't talk to them. If you want to. It in in may be a good deal for you but wait until you go home and call the 800 number where you don't have pressure to buy now. Great pools but there aren't any ledges to sit on or get in the shade while in the pool. Good entertainment.

We celebrated our 25th Anniversay and the staff made our stay the most memorable stay. Loved the Resort and we definitely go back

first time, wont be last

first time at a secrets property. everything was well done, clean, etc. adults only makes for a very nice atmosphere. the staff does try and gimmick up events in the pool.. but not as annoyingly as cruises I've been on. tell them no thanks and they move on. top shelf alcohol included takes the sting off the price. food quality was also very good... although the restaurants first-come first-serve... makes for long waits. i'd be really concerned as I was told the weekend wasn't near full capacity, and still had 2+ hours waits on walk up for dinner table @ 6:30 pm for our group.
