Great all inclusive!Posted Jan 27, 2016
Pros: Service, cost and amenities.
Cons: The only inconvenience was there is not a lot of lights in the room. It was still pretty dim in the room even with every light on. Not a HUGE deal.
Not everything is going to be perfect in life... This really was as close as you could get. There are plenty of staff and they are all very willing to help with anything you need. If you expect to snorkel or enjoy a relaxing swim in the ocean, you will be disappointed. The resort is just located in a place that does not lend itself to those luxuries. If, that is not a deal breaker for you... I would definitely look into booking this place. For the money and the cost of flying there from the states, it is a good bargain that offers everything you could need. You will never go hungry, thirsty or unattended to. If you want to find things to do, there are plenty. They have an entertainment crew right there at the pool all day. Right next to the pool you can book excursions. If quiet and bored is what you are looking for... You can find that too. There are plenty of pools away from the entertainment and the beach was always very calm and quiet. Whether you are by a pool or on the beach, the staff make rounds all day to refill your drink. We chose a Preferred Club room as those are the only ones that are truly ocean front. We would definitely love to go back someday! The place was not giant and noisy, but not tiny and boring. It was just right for a couple looking for the in-between!

Great staff and something for everyonePosted Jan 5, 2016
Pros: The staff was wonderful, welcoming, helpful, and friendly. They did their best to accommodate everyone's needs and succeeded in their efforts.
The staff was wonderful, welcoming, pleasant, helpful, and friendly. They did their best to accommodate everyone's needs and succeeded in their efforts. The rooms were clean and spacious, so hotel accommodations were very comfortable. As for the resort as a whole, there were plenty of food and drink options, and our dinner at Portofino, the Italian restaurant, was very good. The resort has several pools and easy access to the beach, and beverage service is provided in each location the property. I didn't particularly like that you could only dine in certain designated areas throughout the resort at times that are predetermined for the guests, as I prefer an a la carte experience. That said, maybe all inclusive resorts are not for me. Lastly, while the resort did their best to accommodate everyone's needs, Secrets is working hard to introduce travelers to their wealth of properties. This was apparent upon our arrival where they asked their staff to up-sell guests on a visit to their sister resort if willing to take a 90 minute round trip excursion for breakfast. Unfortunately, rather than being excited upon arrival, this offer told me that I possibly made a mistake booking my accommodations at Silversands rather than their sister property 30-45 minutes south of Puerto Morelos. I hope that the resort ceases this up-sell strategy and just greets their guests with excitement about being at the Silversands, as I truly believe that is a better strategy to garner loyalty.

Right on the beach in beautiful Cancun.Posted Dec 29, 2015
Pros: Liked the in room Jacuzzi tub and this was a great way to relax at the end of the day. Teppanyaki restaurant was really good.
Cons: Many things were in poor maintenance. The food quality was not as good as Secrets in Puerto Vallarta....really needs improvement. Internet was SLOW.
Location: Not much to do near the hotel. If you take a trip that was 1 hours drive to Xel-Ha and Talum that is a worthwhile outing and highly recommended!
We had a good check in after taking the transportation from the airport. We were offered cool wet towels to clean our hands and a glass of sparkling wine. We were told we could choose between a poorly located room or one with an ocean view for extra money, so we opted for the one with the view as we were told we also would be able to check in earlier. The view was great as the pool and the ocean were right in front of us. We were close to everything to do! The room was well appointed and had a Jacuzzi tub, large shower, mini-bar (stocked with refreshments), snacks, and a patio with our own private lounging area. The swim up pool was a bit more distanced from the room than other Hotels with this option and non of the swim up pools on the property were heated...only the main pool. The only real issues was the food quality was not as good as other Secret resorts. WiFi was terrible slow in the room...unable to stream and had difficulty looking on Facebook on my phone. Hotel could use some maintenance too....looks handrails, scratched desks in the lobby, broken towel rack in our room...many things needing minor repairs like that.

Very nice hotel on the beach.Posted Dec 29, 2015
We stayed 5 days over Christmas. Very nice and large rooms, 8 pools with a staff that kept us entertained with activities throughout the day and evening. Enjoyed the restaurants and the food was generally very good. Beach was nice but the water had a lot of sea weed. The spa is pricey but very nice. We had the best deep massages there ever.

A beautiful all-inclusive!Posted Dec 26, 2015
Pros: The entertainment team makes an effort to make sure we get a varied experience across the week.
Cons: The check in process must be more efficient. They made us wait too long.
Made this choice as our honeymoon, absolutely no regrets! We did not have a chance to be hungry. The food was top quality. Make sure you try the churros. Staff really try to impress. Renan from World Cafe stood out! So friendly.
