The hotel is in a transition of change of owner, the room they gave us was uncomfortable since the bathroom was inside the room without division and it was uncomfortable to go to the toilet with your partner in the bed very close to the toilet that had practically no division. There is no iron, there are no drawers To store your clothes in the whole room. 4/10

From the moment you walk in the bleach smell is overpowering. The first room floors were filthy. We were moved to the third floor where the rooms were cleaner however reeking of bleach. No coffee offered in the room, no ice available to use in your rooms. No pool towels available at the pool. No blankets provided on the bed. You had to request that. One towel per person in the room. Hot Water lasts less than 5 minutes if you both use the shower. The only good part is its location by 5th avenue. The music from surrounding bars blasts until 2 am or later. Oh and i almost forgot about the pool area. Food was decent prices good however the staff are not suited to be servers. Orders were constantly messed up. Food was cold. Took 1.5 hours to get breakfast. Pool is decent but few options to get out of the sun and both the restaurant and bar were consistently running out of everything. Used to be a destination now you look forward to leaving. Good luck staying here

Service at rooftop bar was terrible, they would either ignore you or take an hour for a drink or guacamole. Rooms was still dirty even after the maid came and there were ants everywhere.

This hotel offered a clean, comfortable room. Not necessarily in the most quiet area; however, that did not bother us. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and very close to the beach. They also offered beach towels which we could change up daily which was nice. One note about the rooftop pool - it was absolutely beautiful; however, it is somehow separately owned from the hotel and do not allow you to bring outside drinks or food as they have a bar & restaurant. The staff were very nice.

The staff was wonderful about coordinating airport shuttle pick up and drop off. Sandra, was always very responsive and helpful. The staff did upgrade us from a Standard Room to a much larger room. It was spacious. However, we were disappointed for several reasons. -The water did not get hot. It barely got to room temperature. We reported it to the front desk but it did not get any better. Showering here sucked. -They do not provide any comforter, just a thin sheet. -The rooms are not soundproofed. There are several clubs on either side of the hotel. If you're counting on a good night's rest for an early tour to Chichen Itza, you can forget about it. -We returned to our room with the door wide open two days in a row. The first time it happened, we thought maybe we didn't shut the door good when we left. The following day, we conscientiously shut the door making sure it locked behind us. Low and behold, when we returned in the evening, the door was wide open again. My husband immediately reported it to the front desk and security who said they would speak with housekeeping. Luckily nothing was missing. Unlike other 4 star hotels, we noticed this hotel did not provide a blowdryer, robes, houseslippers and wash cloths.

The balcony door was broken so it was highly unsafe especially with all the sensitive document with me. The water wasn’t hot for almost 20 minutes leaving us highly uncomfortable. Water you can work with but lack of safety forces me to ask for a reimbursement. Kindly refund the amount as it was highly inconvenient for us to carry our stuff around the city and it was a big liability and huge inconvenience.

The palm is one of the best locations in playa del Carmen. It’s a short walk to the gorgeous beaches of playacar, nightlife and restaurants are right outside the door, and it’s close to public transportation. The hotel is clean and basic, but comfortable and all one needs for a great time. Make sure to check out happy hour on the rooftop deck. The staff are welcoming and kind!

It was a little less than great service. The pool had a booger or something in it that the staff took their time to take out. The breakfast only had three options. When we arrived we had to have the shower changed because it didn’t work. One night we also took of the sheets and their was a blood stain on the mattress cover. But it was really close to everything. Great location. The rooftop pool was nice and the room is very spacious.

I did like i didnt have hot water for 3 days. Three staff went to correct the problem in which it only worked for 5minuted the hot water. After the rhird day they moved us from the room. They almost made me pay extra like if it was my problem. When it was there problems with the boiler.

Incredible experience and we only got here. My 90 year old grandpa wasn’t feeling the greatest when we arrived and the staff at reception were so understanding and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable.

This was a terrible experience. Expedia said this was a 4 star hotel. This is a 2 star hotel. We found dead roaches in our room, walls were paper thin we herd our neighbors having diarhea and loud music all not from the club next to it. There were only bed sheets and they refused to give us blankets, they did not honour any of the vip stuff we were supposed to get. It was advertised as adults inly and there were kids. We booked expecting a hot tub as advertised which was non existant. They refused to call us a cab and made us walk in the rain to find one when we were leaving. Our balcony was unusable due to mosquito infestations. Cleaning people left doors open when cleaning rooms which resulted in mosquitos everywhere. On the fourth day i got in an arugment with the reception who said we never paid for breakfast. I had to show them the receipt to show we had added in our booking(after 3 days of no problems getting breakfast) The only kind thing i have to say about this place was that the rooftop waiters were nice. They did not give us our 10 per cent off food and drinks that we were entitled to but they were friendly.

I liked the interior courtyard with the palm trees and the convenient location. My hotel room floor was a bit dirty, it needed to be either vacuumed or mopped. Otherwise, it was a nice room.

The property is right of 5th Avenida which is walking distance to all shops and attractions in the area, as well as one block from the beach. Be advised, there is a club right across the street and you WIlLL absolutely hear it at night, so you may want to secure a room on the back side of hotel. Friendly staff, clean place, the facility should have maintenance done. It is a solid 4 star hotel.

I stayed at this hotel in room number 4 on the ground floor for a week. it was a wonderful room, everything was very clean. The room had a kitchen and all the necessary utensils to cook, there was also a large refrigerator. The room consists of two huge rooms - a bedroom and a separate living room - you can easily accommodate four people. Also the room was very quiet although nightclubs and entertainment were not far away. The hotel is located one block from the main walking street, and also 8 minutes to the beach. Very convenient location. It is also close to a bus stop where you can catch a bus to Cancun Airport. Also 10 minutes away there is a ferry to Cozumel, you can plan a trip to the island for the whole day. It’s very cool to swim there and see the island. The only problem was that the toilet leaked a little in our room, but this did not spoil our impression. The staff is very responsive and polite, this hotel seemed to me like an oasis in the middle of the city. Walmart is also about 10 minutes away, which also helps a lot if you want to cook in your room yourself.

We spent 6 nights at this property. We found that the staff could have been more attentive, in the areas of housekeeping and food service. Our room, while suffice needed a good cleaning. The shower floor did not look clean and there was in fact a large clump of hair. While enjoying time poolside, at times grabbing a refreshment was not an option; Limited staff on the rooftop. Otherwise we were pleased.

We loved our outdoor balcony that looked over the courtyard. At night the bats would fly through the palms. We didn’t have blankets on our bed the first night I had to ask for them the next morning.

Hotel common areas are nice but the rooms are really old/out of date. Seems like something out of the early 2000s. Room smelled like mold. Had to blast the AC to remove the mold smell, making the room really cold. I requested to be moved rooms but they didn’t have anything else available. Booked 4 nights, couldn’t stay more than 1 night due to the smell. Had to find another accommodation
