Wonderful resort with amazing staff

Pros: Staff, activities, shows, spa, music.
Cons: Soundproof hallways. Edit resort credit system to actually be inclusive. Out of the hotel's control: humidity in the rooms, flies in the hallways.
Location: 20 min ride from airport. 10 min ride to swim with dolphins. All other transportation was quick+easy, coordinated by transit staff (Hola, Miguel)!
I just returned from five days at HRHV. This was my first time in Mexico, and my first time at an inclusive resort. I traveled alone and was so grateful and happy to find such a friendly place. The entire staff was kind and patient as I tried to remember Spanish I studied years earlier. The positive attitudes and focus on humor were contagious and just the right fit for me. Fellow guests were very friendly and welcoming as well. Specifically... The front desk staff was so personable and answered my many questions, especially Alberto and Patty (aka Beyonce). The entertainment and poolside staff was a true delight no matter the activity - salsa, karaoke, volleyball, aerobics, yoga - a huge thanks to Edgar, Mario, Manu, Liz, Gabby, Valeria, and Hector. The spa staff was lovely and very attentive, including Eve, Maria, and Rosie. From talking to others, this is a smaller resort, with a few pools and five restaurants (three open per day). It was perfect for me and had a personal connection that doesn't seem possible at a massive hotel. I will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you, HRHV! :)

Nice hotel closed to the beach

I did not like the captain seating on the Mexican restaurant, He wasn't very nice to me or my husband. Everyone else super nice.

Went for a wedding and it was the perfect atmosphere! Partied in the pool and it's just a short taxi ride to town to the clubs! Loved the hard rock

Nice hotel small rooms

Pros: Restaurant setups are great. No reservations needed and food was good. Beach service for drinks was really good. Plenty of activities for the whole family. Beach was great as well as location. Staff from top to bottom were great, everybody was courteous and helpful. Cons: Smallest rooms we have ever stayed in which isn't a huge deal till the family of 4 is trying to get .ready

Hard rock puerto vallarta

Room to small for a hard rock hotel chain. Food was not good. Not to the standard of a Hard Rock chain. Far from the city.

Great hotel with excellent service.

Great staff and service, rooms were clean on arrival and cleaned well every day. Nice amenities and easy beach access. Servers in the restaurants, pool, and beach areas were always pleasant and timely. The spa service was also exceptional. Overall excellent stay!

Paid for luxury but got only average

Having stayed at other Hard Rock properties, I expected more. Room next door had construction work. Hotel should have warned us or offered an upgrade. Wine included in the rate was terrible. Service is unbelievable. The spa is very nice. Check-out was low and clumsy. For the price I paid, I think I could have stayed at a nicer hotel.
