As soon as we walked in to the hotel everyone was really nice they explained everything. Everyone was smiling all the time and they had excellent customer service.

Great Choice

Pros: The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly.
Cons: the internet signal was not so good but it worked. would have liked free shuttle service to local areas, Puerto Vallarta Malecon, Buserias...
Location: Northing.... Take the bus or a taxi and go to el Malecon in puerto vallarta.
Nice clean Hotel, left 50 pesos tip, room service was always making animal figures with towels. Staff was very friendly. Enjoyed the buffet, restaurants, dinner, shows, activities, pool, and alcohol. I would only stay here if your not planing on taking any tours. Its far away from the Actual Puerto Vallarta. First time trying all inclusive and i enjoyed the price, place, and staff.

I can say the staff tried. The hotel is in need of repair and you can see clearly they operate on a very tight budget. The rooms were never very clean. We traded rooms to a beachfront and had to take the shower head off to get water from the shower. You were only given 1 bottle of water per day per person and if you wanted coffee in your room you had to pay extra, I couldn't understand why they even had coffee pots in the rooms. I won't even touch on the food, I don't even want to remember it!

The hotel is old and in need of many repairs. The staff is very friendly but unaccomodating when a problem arises. Our bathroom was disgusting. It smelled and even the light over the bathtub did not work and dropped a foul smelling water from the lights location. We checked out the very next day.

no to this hotel

Cons: check the doors and windows lock esp room 349 where the lock to the outside patio is broken
Location: there is nothing to do nearby.
the room smells muggy, the bed sheets smells, seems like they did not changed it at all especially the pillows, the comforters is open at the end, everything is falling out,, we decided to upgrade for another 50 bucks but the room where they put us, the A/C is so loud we could not sleep, the food is not that good.

Not Recommending any one

Hi I have stayed 2 days at Sumba and switch to different hotel since it was not what I was expecting and described on Expedia. This hotel required major construction and renovation, beside that staff cannot speak English well and guests were mostly Hispanic and even their entertainment was not in English.

Great time! Need updates - electrical / plumbing

Pros: Excellent staff! Cleanliness second to none. Outdoor views and amenities.
Cons: Maintenance to roof, electrical outlets, plumbing fixtures. Also the outdoor activities center could be upgraded.
Location: Excellent location. Plenty of activities on location, and nearby.
Staff was excellent! Beach and most outdoor facilities are very nice. Rooms and building maintenance seems to aging and not getting updated. Electrical outlets need repair, plumbing aging, rusty door hinges, but we spent most of our time outdoors. Everything was very clean, food was excellent, really enjoyed our stay. I would only "not" recommend because of the building maintenance. Everything else was 9/10.

Low rate hotel...more like a cheap motel.

Dated, beds were horrible. Excuse after excuse why they couldnt switch rooms. I am betting ALL the beds were bad. Expedia was of no help either. This is NOT a 3.9 it is more of a 1.9 and we are not picky people. The buffet was awful. Very bland. The restaurant was ok but you had to get up and down to make a reservation by 7 am to even have a chance. Wont ever stay again.

Smaller all inclusive next to soft sand beach and

Pros: The employees!
Cons: The plumbing (sewage smell)
Location: Beach, pool, massages, Bucerias for shopping & dining and a cool floating obstacle course in Bucerias for kids as well.
Samba's employees are all super friendly including Jose & the activities staff, the bar staff, the cleaning staff who came speedily with a mop when my husband flooded the bathroom, to the friendly lady Alicia who got me in touch with a doctor when my son was sick. The rooms are super clean, but unfortunately there is sewer smell throughout the rooms that comes and goes. I am told the building is old and needs upgrades. I hope the owner decides to spend the money to repair the plumbing, because the staff is doing a stellar job and the food is pretty good!
