Dumpy hotel with unaccommodating desk clerk
Posted Mar 15, 2017
This Best Western did not measure up to the room presented in the picture! The hall carpets were stained and worn, the room was badly in need of updating, and the bed was sagging. Arriving at midnight - after a long, late flight - the first-floor room had the feeling of a basement room. When we requested a different room, the desk clerk told us that the only other king room available was "missing furniture." We asked for any bed configuration, and he said that since we reserved and paid through Expedia, he could not change our "room classification," and our only option was the assigned room. He made no effort to make us more comfortable, and was not very courteous. The room was clean, but that is about all I can say about it in a positive light. I would not recommend this tired old hotel to anyone.

I am so sorry to hear we were not able to make you comfortable! The desk clerk was correct about changing the room type as Expedia likes for you to contact them for any changes to the reservation. The room that he was talking about did have furniture in it but was missing a few items. While technically the room was out of service, it was clean and rent-able, just not up to par with our other rooms. I believe the desk clerk was trying to get you into a clean room that is up to the standards of our other rooms.
Thank you for your feedback and once again, I am sorry that we were not able to get you into a comfortable room during your stay.
