Pros: Full kitchen, good quality breakfast including fluffy scrambled eggs. Most important: rooms had windows that could be easily and widely opened.
Cons: TVs could have had bigger screens.
Location: Near concert and downtown area in Roanoke, as well as airport and interstate highway.
Suite was perfect for me traveling with a couple of friends for a concert out of state.

Vacation

While on vacation, we planned our daily travel to achieve a certain distance. Roanoke happened to be near our travel goal. We had stayed at Residence Inn in another city several times and liked the chain. Roanoke Residence Inn did not disappoint us.

Nice hotel staff was excellent!

We enjoyed our stay as mentioned above the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice but we found trash in the cushions of the couch and stains on the carpet. The pillows I'm assuming are supposed to be nice but they are so large they are hard to sleep on.

Beautiful Hotel....great staff!

Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Cons: Time for a makeover....furniture is showing wear & tear....wallpaper is coming apart at the seams in several areas.
Location: Very convenient to the highway; gas station that's easy to get into and out of; also a Big Lots and Burlington in a little plaza next door.
Great hotel....all staff were very friendly. Breakfast had a plentiful variety of typical breakfast fare...cereal, waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, muffins, bagels and juice. Coffee was fresh and hot. One negative about the breakfast was that both mornings (we stayed for two nights), the cream for the coffee was empty. The hotel and rooms are very well kept and very clean. You can tell that the hotel is ready for a make-over, mostly because of wear and tear. For example, there were several spots in the hallways, breakfast room, etc., where the wallpaper is starting to peel up at the seams. The furniture in our room wasn't in the best shape (corners were tattered, etc) but it was clean and very comfortable. The suite had a great variety of items in the kitchenette such as a full size refrigerator with a freezer, pots and pans, serving set for 4 people, glasses, toaster, etc. I thought the value for what we paid was very good and would definitely stay again and would recommend this hotel to friends and work colleagues.

The only nice thing about the bar exam...

I was in Roanoke for the bar exam. They took really good care of us. My only issue was that after a 3.5 hour drive up there, I went to take a shower and there were no wash cloths. So I had to sit and wait for them to bring them.
