DisGUSTing!Posted Jul 6, 2015
Hairs, used towels and trash in the bathroom. Bench by bed covered in stains. Drunken homeless guy pounding on doors from 12-2 in the morning. And they're doing construction so there's noise, workmen staying on site (smoking, shouting), and half-done jobs in the room. The worst!

Outstanding "Return to Roanoke"Posted Jun 20, 2015 on Hotels
We were in Roanoke after chasing Norfolk and Western 611 from Spencer, NC to Roanoke, VA. We have visited Roanoke many times before, but stayed at another hotel. We picked Roadway Inn because it was a bit cheaper but after our stay we felt it was a much better value. The staff was great!!

Needed a Place Close to DowntownPosted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: It was cheap and within minutes of our destinations.
Cons: Needs a makeover; if you don't mind the dated patched up feel it's okay.
Location: VA Museum of Transportation
We were looking for a single night in downtown Roanoke close to the train events happening. Our expectation level was modest and this hotel was more on the low end of our range. It did the job and we got a good night's sleep. Was a little unsure about some of the people walking around there.

Låg bra till vid vägen. Nära till "Blue Ridge Parkway" Enkelt och billigt, det funkade.

Not as bad as it first seemed!Posted May 9, 2015 on Hotels
The area is a little run-down, but the room was very well presented. There were two Queen-sized beds, which were comfortable, a large TV, a fridge and a nice little bathroom. A continental breakfast is provided which was adequate and tasty. There are a couple of fast-food places nearby and we tried Sheetz which was very good. For an overnight stop when en route somewhere else, it is to be recommended.
