Carpets were ripped, shower dirty, bathroom sink didn't frqun properly, toliet seat lose, overbed light didnt work, worst hotel i've ever reserved on expedia, very disappointed in the quality. Left after 1 night, one good thing is they refunded 1 night but kept the pet fee

Property has good bones but the tile layer in the bathroom could not have done a worse job. I would recommend better repair person for the property

The rooms are not very clean; un swept floors, dirty mirrors, dusty night stand. Definitely wouldn’t recommend sleeping on the pull out couch.

Comfortable bed and the room was clean. That's really the only positives I came away with. It's really hard to enter the property if you've never been there before but the biggest issue is the paper thin walls. you will hear everything from the adjoining rooms and the hallway. wanna get some sleep? Good luck. wanna sleep past 6? not a chance. Staff was not really interested in answering questions upon check in and refused to even acknowledge me in the morning when checking out. would not stay here again

A Great Stay at a Great Price
We had a great Christmas stay. The room was a little dated, but they are working on renovations so we look forward to our next stay. It was a great place at a super affordable price. The two room suite was great for 3 adults. We enjoyed having the living room space to hang out in without having to sit on our beds all the time. Everyone was kind and helpful.

Horrible Hotel
Horrible experience. Rooms are dirty and smells bad. Had makeup on my sheets. Rooms are not properly cleaned. Lost my prepaid because I refuse to let my family stay there.

The staff was friendly. It’s unfortunate that the walls are extremely thin and the layout of the room next door… May have had their bed up against the same wall as our room. That wasn’t very pleasant.

It was really a great place to stay at a very good price. Check in was quick and courteous. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Only thing I was disappointed about was that the room I reserved stated it included a bathtub, the room I got only had a shower. Still, I’m very happy with my stay, would recommend staying here, and will be back again myself in the future.

We used to live in Roanoke and Sleep Inn was a great place in 2004. We came to see family for the holidays. This motel is convenient to food and shopping. Parking lot was clean. Front desk and foyer were clean. Employees nice. Unfortunately, the rooms are in pretty bad shape. Shower floor was ready to fall in any second. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke. That being said, the beds were clean with crisp white sheets and a pretty comforter.

The staff was accommodating upon check-in and check out. The rooms were clean and serviceable. We stayed two nights and all our needs were met for a short stay. The property was well lit and safe with no foot traffic or malingering persons. Breakfast was provided and it was okay.

First, the good; the hotel is conveniently located with lots of parking, a large police presence, and a ton of great restaurants/areas to hike. The bad however far outweighs all of that. Upon arriving to the hotel, staff somehow did not realize we had booked a reservation and spent about a half hour on the computer trying to figure out who we are and how long we booked. Not a huge deal - it happens. After we finally got to our room we found mysterious stains on literally every linen item, and all the furniture. When we requested new linens, we got them but were told they are all stained with various fluids and our best bet would be to take the darker colored linens. Not acceptable. When I inspected the bathroom - with much scrutiny at this point mind you, I found black mold on the ceiling, in the shower, and a large crack in the floor of the shower that somehow had just glued a flat piece of vinyl over- poorly I might add. The TV was ancient, it barely worked, the ac unit was also about ten years past its service life, and of the five lights in the room, only two worked. The “continental breakfast” consisted of powdered coffee, microwave eggs and sausage that both had a distinct and ignominious taste of fish, and the milk for the cereal was definitely sour. All in all I will absolutely never stay at this hotel again. With all the available options charging literally the same price or slightly more, I’ll be staying somewhere else next time I come to Roanoke.

Good hotel but we had a little hiccup
Nice hotel. Friendly receptionist. We had booked 2 rooms, one for my adult daughter and one for my wife and myself. My daughter's room was fine but poor Tom was already occupied which came as a surprise to the couple already in there. This was sorted out very quickly. Only other issue in our room was the wardrobe door had a broken hinge and the clock/ radio didn't work. So I award 5* for my daughter's room and 3* for ours but overall I would stay here again. 8/10.

Building is VERY old and worn. NO ELEVATOR FOR UPPER FLOOR. Carpet is threadbare and raveling in places. Continental breakfast was ok but nothing special. They ran out of sugar for coffee and could not go get some. Told me that Sams Club was out, REALLY? There are no great motel options in the Tanglewood area so good luck. Oh, and stay away from McAdoos restaurant!

Poor conditions of property and interior. Carpets in horrible shape. Stains and very worn. Flyer old and dingy. Not inviting. Old furniture . Light fixture in foyer shows rust and water stains. Bathroom needs updates. Limited closet space, old and worn out desk chair. No lounger chairs in bedroom. BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE.
