I’ve always enjoyed the Horseshoe casino and the rooms are usually better than what I experienced this time but this stay I was not pleased. The carpet to our room was not clean nor was it vacuumed at all the days we stayed. Bits of trash littered the floor down each hallway which just looked dirty. The room was okay but the bathroom floor wasn’t very clean and the room had no microwave or coffeemaker. We usually choose non smoking rooms but this time we chose a smoking room. The smoking rooms should be cleaned just like any room but it seems like it’s an afterthought and there’s no effort put into cleanliness of the rooms. My husband smokes and this was a trip for him this the choice of a smoking room but the lamp shades were yellow which I understand from smoking but seriously need changing & the furniture felt sticky. Overall all rooms should be thoroughly cleaned and the areas leading to them vacuumed like every other hotel I’ve ever stayed in does. I was less than satisfied this time which is a first for me with the rooms there. I also will say that even if a guest stays more than a night the cleaning service should check with guests regarding clean bath rags and toilet tissue. I had to hunt them down and was told they don’t service occupied rooms which is unusual for any hotel with paying guests. I’m not sure why that’s a policy but it shouldn’t be. Do not disturb signs should be in each room to stop staff if a guest doesn’t want a clean room or needs clean towels etc.

We had fun gambling. The room was dated and the bathroom was in disrepair. Toilet leaked around the bottom and the sink didn’t drain well.

Our room only had 1 lamp. Room not very clean, shower did not work right, coffee pot leaked water everywhere, the front desk cancelled our reservation for 2nd night and had to go down and straighten that out. Service was slow, if we even got what we requested. Will not be back!!
