Lovely comfortable hotel

Stayed with family and it was better than expected. Staff member Katie was multi tasking but extremely efficient and well trained responsive to feedback given on initial score. Our room was newly refurbished and the decor/bathroom was very pleasant. Only one negative thing was the window as it overlooked Busy road and felt it needed some draft control and noise buffering sorted but apart from that one of the nicest rooms ever stayed in Rochdale area.

Nice hotel for spa & relaxation

Wonderful hotel, kids friendly. Nice indoor pool with an outdoor heated jacouzi. The hotel is 30 minutes from Manchester( a bit far away)

Late booking

Pros: Well presented with a pool
Cons: No
Location: Not applicable because passing through.
Booked the hotel when looking for last minute accommodation during a trip to Manchester. Selected the family room because we had a child with us. Lovely spacious, well presented room with everything we needed including a bonus. Have a fantastic swim with my grandson in the morning before check out. His verdict "this hotel is awesome"

We stayed here two nights and on the second there was a wedding on. If we had known this, we wouldn’t have stayed. It was our anniversary and we wanted to eat in the restaurant. This was closed for the wedding and we were offered the alternative of the bistro (as per the website). However, the food was mainly burgers and sandwiches and it was not the atmosphere we had hoped for. We ate at the pub down the road, which served nice food, but was screening a football match. Upon our return to our room, we discovered we were above the wedding, which went on full blast till 1am. The phones in the rooms didn’t seem to connect to reception, so I had to call the outside line from my mobile to complain at 12.15am. The night receptionist said he would ask them to turn it down, but nothing happened. The hotel had a lovely spa and our room was huge and very comfortable. However, I would not be staying there again.

Good hotel. Comfortable rooms but noisy due to HVAC noise. Food in the bar wasn't great and the restaurant was closed on a Sunday night. Spa was smashing!

Pros: Friendly staff. Warm. Comfortable.
Cons: the decor is a little dated. The shower was rather weak. Perhaps it is time for an update.
Location: National Trust Quarry Bank cotton mill museum in Styall
We stayed here as a friend was having a 40th birthday party there. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Reception seemed very busy and perhaps could have done with more help at busy checking in and out times. They should not have been expected to answer phones as well as deal with people at the desk. This caused quite a queue - not the staff's fault. The spa was very pleasant and warm and the pool to the outside was particularly enjoyable.

It was aweful hotel and room, not 4 star at all, stinky caroets and dirty bed, no remote , phones n heating not working , rude staff
