Pros: Location. Comfortable Beds. Clean.
We were only in town one night to visit a friend and the location was great. Perfect for the Thursday night street fair.

Nice hotel directly across from the hospital.

Posted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: Closeness to the hospital.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Everything you need during your stay is nearby and walking distance.
Very nice and close to the Methodist Hospital and The Mayo. All within walking distance. Very nice for the price paid. Very pleased.

Sucks

Expidia reservations messed up. Needed 2 bed. Got one. I slept on air mattress for 2 nights. Barely room for it on the floor. Bathroom, and room tiny. Paint peeling. As a whole is old and outdated

Old and Very run down!

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: The location is convenient. That's it.
Very run down room. Old air conditioner in window that is blocked by curtains if you want privacy. Old plumbing fixtures. Very very small bathroom. Ugly paint. Cheap coffee. Found dead bug in my bed when I was leaving...will never stay here again. Gross

Would not recoomend

Pros: Proximity to the Mayo Clinic and the downtown restaurants and shops is stellar.
Cons: Everything about our room needed improvement.
The convenience of the hotel to the Mayo Clinic was awesome, just around the corner, and the price was great. This hotel is right out of the Shining. However, our room was not acceptable. Torn blinds, old smelly curtains, old worn out carpet, bed was on set of old squeaky springs, old comforter, chair had no seat under the fabric, furniture waay outdated broken and chipped up from the 70s or earlier. TV was modern and worked well. The bathroom sink had old moldy caulking around it as did the shower tub, tub was antique with old old stains and it had not been cleaned for our stay, I wore socks to take a shower. The shower nozzle was old with crud. Paint was cracked and peeling and caused us concern over possible lead based paint. It was just overall gross, not cleaned well, and very very outdated. This place needs a lot of help.

Great place to stay

Posted Jun 26, 2015
Pros: Older hotel but very clean and comfortable
Cons: nothing
I found this hotel to be a nice place to stay and close to the Mayo Clinic building. Everyone was so friendly and the room was very comfortable. The attached restaurant was also very good!

Noisy old building. Window air conditioner one feet next to bed!
