Someone on our floor was smoking and burning a candle of some sort to mask or to hide the smell and I received a notice under my door about a $250.00 fee. The smell was unbearable at times. I made the front desk aware upon checkout.

I booked at holiday in - however I received a call that they had an issue with rooms and asked if i would accept a room at Home 2suites. I did as i had just arrived in the city and needed a place to stay. I was disappointed that I did not get the same room set up- I deliberately requested 2 beds as opposed to a bed and a pull out. Otherwise- the room at the new location was clean and the staff was wonderful

Granted that we arrived amid a storm, there was no parking space because of all utility trucks in the park lot. So, I just parked near the lobby. It was about passing midnight when we arrived, tired and just wanted to get to the room so we could just crashed. The front desk then asked if I received an email from them regarding about moving to another hotel. The answer was "No". The front desk staff then grabbed the phone disappeared, reappear, and then disappeared again. After awhile, the front desk person reappeared, apologized, and informed me that they had a leak on the 4th floor, and had the evacuate the whole floor. Then, she informed me that the room I requested with 2 queen beds wasn't available, there was only 1 room left with a king bed. The keys were handed to us and we proceeded to the 5th floor. We tried to open the room with the provided keys without success and then we were shock when someone from the inside opened the door and asked us if we needed help. Thank goodness that the person in the room was not angry and was not hostile. We apologized and told her happened and quickly left. We went downstairs and the front desk person said she didn't even know that room was occupied. Now, she gave us the keys the 4th floor that she said earlier that the whole floor was evacuated due to some leak. We were tired and didn't feel like giving sh*t to people. The whole thing was very unprofessional. I did wonder if we weren't wanted there.

I was a little disappointed when I asked for an extra blanket and he had to see if any were available first then said he would send one up and no one ever showed up. They said the pool would be open upon our 2nd day arrival and unfortunately the key would not open the pool door. The hotel was very conveniently located and the day staff was extremely nice and helpful.

The location is ok with restaurant nearby but the room was not clean with dust all behind the door . The lid of TV remote control was missing. And the barrier in the sink in washroom was missing . The facility is so-so. The air condition was quite loud and couldn’t really turn lower. The breakfast was quite ok although the variety was not much than the other holiday Inn I lived before.

It was very cold in the hotel, the swimming area was freezing.. Everything else was great. Staff was very nice. A little bummed the pancake machine wasn’t working.. Very nice hotel.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn and found it to be an average experience overall. The cleanliness of the hotel was decent, but nothing exceptional. While the customer service was adequate, it didn't go above and beyond expectations. One highlight of the hotel's location is its proximity to a good Italian restaurant and a Costco with gas stations, which was convenient for dining and fueling up. Additionally, the short drive to the Strong Museum was a plus for those interested in exploring local attractions. The hotel is situated in a quiet and safe area, providing a sense of security during the stay. However, the pool was average at best, and the dated decor throughout the hotel left much to be desired. The carpet, floors, and elevator spaces could use more attention to detail, as surfaces appeared to need better wiping down. In conclusion, while the Holiday Inn offers a decent stay with some convenient amenities nearby and the assurance of being in a quiet and safe area, it falls short in terms of cleanliness and attention to detail in its upkeep.

The heater keeps running on then off. So I checked the filters. They were completely plugged. I cleaned them. This is most likely a result of the remodel. All rooms should be checked

Horrible stay! Dirty hotel and bad customer servic
The room was not vacuumed. The bathroom was dirty and smelled of urine. I mentioned this to the front desk reception staff both days that I was there and they did nothing. The housekeeping on the second day didn’t even try to clean. They simply came into the room, removed used towels and left new towels on the dirty toilet. The bed was not made, bathroom and floors were not cleaned. I complained to the front reception and again just apologies but nothing was done to rectify the matter. I’m very disappointed with the level of service coming from a Holiday Inn Hotel. I will never stay at this hotel again. I highly recommend people stay away from this hotel.

It is an excellent place for a family to stay. Clean, no bed bugs, decent breakfast buffet option. Communication was a bit slack, needed to visit the reception a few times before they got my request attended correctly.
