My last evening found me sitting on the still Genesse river waters, with the golden glow of a city building gleaming over the trees across the river bank, with the setting sun painting the sky in brilliant pink and purple colors. As I'm enjoying this, a lovely woman of Middle Eastern descent quietly comes up to me to see if the abandoned bike a few yards away was mine, as she didn't want it stolen since it wasn't locked up. #colorful

The Mount Hope Cemetery, located in Rochester, New York houses this memorial monument, the “Defenders of the Flag” which pays tribute to the Civil War Veterans. This sculpture was made in 1908 by an American sculptor, Sally James Farnham. In the heart of downtown Rochester. Beautiful place to take a stroll. Genesee Brew house has a great view while you have a bite Genesee Brew House Keg tree. The tree consists of 430 half-barrel kegs and is 26 feet tall (about even with the second floor of the Brew House). It overlooks the high falls of the Genesee River. It has a revolving lighted logo and is synchronized with holiday music. Home Allen Creek Valley is a secluded valley which includes a 2 mile trail near waterfalls, meadows and through a forest of trees. Fall colors are slowly emerging. Not a lot of red this year, but still beautiful and serene. This mural, located at the Four Corners in Rochester, NY depicts the Child’s Basin between 1822-1826. This area was an “oasis for travelers” largely because of the Erie Canal. The basin was located just across the aqueduct from this site, shown in this mural by Corky Goss, (August 2012). The Times Square Building with its’ Art Deco “Wings of Progress” designed by Ralph Thomas Walker is at the upper left. This is the Frederick Douglass–Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge which is a “triple steel arch bridge carrying Interstate 490 over the Genesee River and New York State Route 383”. It is located in downtown Rochester, New York.
