Nice hotel close to RIT

Posted Feb 4, 2016
Pros: Staff was nice and accommodating. Room was quiet and large. The king bed was very comfortable. The cost was reasonable. The shuttle is very convenient
Cons: The wifi outages made it hard to get work done. The shower water temperature and pressure needs to be raised.
Location: Convenient distance to RIT and the business district
Overall it was just okay. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and quiet. Unfortunately there were issues with my reservation per-day cost, hot water for the shower, and wifi was down for half of my stay. Also, there were remnants of prior guests behind the sofa and mattress, including dried rose petals.

People with allergies toward dust stay away!

Posted Dec 18, 2015
The staff were pleasant that was a plus. However, if you have an allergy toward dust...stay away! Dust from Heating/AC unit was horrible! Noisy as well!

Nice hotel near RIT

Posted Dec 7, 2015
Pros: food, room, staff, location
Cons: water pressure in the shower was a little low, refrigerator got noisy at one point during the night but quieted down after a few minutes
Location: close to the airport and Rochester Institute of Technology
I stayed at this hotel for one night on a business trip. It was very nice and exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and had a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and coffeemaker. The free wifi worked great. The bed and pillows were very comfortable so I had no trouble sleeping and no back pain in the morning. All the staff were very friendly. Everyone who passed me said hello! If you go to the on-site restaurant, I recommend the calamari served on lettuce with roasted red peppers and banana peppers. It was amazing. Overall, great stay.

Rochester hotel near RIT

In town visiting family. Our room needed cleaning. The king mattress was on a queen frame and it was not a high quality mattress so not terribly comfortable. The location was convenient, that is the best I can say.

It was a good stay. The only thing: we just so happened to pick the nights that a hockey tourney was going on. I'm not sure what the hotel could have really done, but the kids and the adults they were with, ran up and down the hallways, yelled at each other, and stole the do not disturb signs off of other peoples doors. I highly suggest asking if there is a hockey tourney going on anywhere near the hotel in the fall. So 2 nights of our three night stay was quiet. The location was great for the purpose of our trip.

Dear Cheryl, Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your recent stay. I apologize that your time with us happened to fall on a busy weekend as such. This area is a hot spot for hockey groups being that a rink is so close in proximity. I do hope that you will join us in the near future. When you do, please ask for me so that I can have you assigned to one of our quieter guest rooms :). Kind Regards, Kate Paddock Front Office Manager The Radisson Airport

Clean and polite, but in need of an overall renovation.

Nice hotel not that close to the airport

Posted Oct 20, 2015
This hotel us nice but not as close to the airport as their name suggests. They don't print any where that their free airport shuttle ends at 11pm. The taxi fee was $20.

Convenient to RIT, but otherwise disappointing

Posted Oct 19, 2015
Cons: It is right next to the campus of Rochester Institute of Technology, which is where or son goes toschool.
Location: Even though it's right next door to RIT, there are many other hotels within a 5 mile radius that are much better.
This hotel has supposedly renovated its rooms but our recent stay didn't reflect any improvements. the beds were terrible with one "sleep number" bed that remained deflated on one side and hard on the other. The controllers didn't work and the bed was very uncomfortable.

Close to RIT, but that's it!

Posted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: The only thing I liked about this hotel was its closeness to RIT. You can walk to the campus if you want!
Cons: The beds could be bigger. There is no room in bathroom for toiletries. The lighting could be brighter. Exhaust fan in bathroom should be on a switch
Location: Its close to RIT. There is every chain restaurant and store within a five mile radius!
We stayed here when we visited our son at RIT. It is very close to the campus which was nice. I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and I remembered it was ok, but in a few years it has gotten much older and run down. As soon as we checked in I noticed that the toilet wasn't flushing properly so we went to front desk and they sent someone while we were out to fix it. The next morning it wasn't working again and again they sent someone to fix it but it still didn't work. Finally I went back to front desk and they offered to move our room. It was annoying to pack everything up, but I was glad to have a room with a working bathroom. Also, the first room was a handicap room (not that we needed one thankfully) and I would recommend to anyone to NOT get a handicap room unless it was necessary. The front desk staff was very nice, but unfortunately it did not make up for the hotel.

Radisson Rochester

Posted Oct 16, 2015
Pros: Location
Rooms are a bit dated. Neither "sleep number" bed in my room worked correctly, I would have been happier with a standard bed.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your comments. Please accept my sincerest apologies about the issue you had with your bed during your time at our property.
