Excellent staff

Location: Close to RIT
The room and facility are as expected for a mid-range work hotel....clean and adequate. What sets the Rochester Radisson at RIT apart is the staff. The front desk staff were excellent. Polite, profession and seemed to genuinely care. The very nice lady who checked me in took the time to recommend local restaurants and even provided me with a print out that listed many options. Called the room to be sure everything was OK. I travel a lot and this kind of service is uncommon. Kudos to the RIT Radisson Hotel.

Very noisy ac unit terrible beds

On the RIT campus

Pros: Location
Cons: Separate the bar area from the lobby.
Location: RIT
I've stayed here several times while visiting my son, who is a student at RIT. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have is, on more than one occasion, there have been groups of young teens that have been staying And congregating in the common areas and running up and down the halls.

The hotel is located very close to RIT.

Pros: Super swimming pool! Large, well-heated and clean water, tons of towels plus large rest rooms to enable changing into and out of swim suits.
Cons: Restaurant = C-. Food was good, service very slow, not from wait staff attitude but an extremely poor staff to guest ratio that kept servers running!
Location: Several universities and rich cultural activities in Rochester and suburbs. 20 minutes to downtown's charm and variety from the hotel.
We had very wintry weather, but the hotel's heat was fine except in the lobby, thanks to a very cold wind that could not be blamed on the hotel staff! Staff greeted us nicely and were helpful as needed. Even with the outside temperature as low as 10 degrees, the room, the restaurant and the pool were warm enough. The location is close to Rochester Institute of Technology and, within it, the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID). The hotel staff appears adept at serving ASL 'signing' individuals as well as those with hearing. A state high school bowling tournament was hosted nearby and the hotel had many bowling families present. Despite many young guests, the halls were quiet and students in the restaurant were very well-behaved.

Last minute booking

I needed a hotel for a last minute stay to get to the Rochester airport early the next morning. The Radisson was perfect. The hotel staff was friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel was great for getting to the airport quickly in the morning. It also is close to a lot of restaurants and shopping!! A great choice for sure.

All staff members were courteous & friendly. Room was comfortable, however the TV did not work.
