Miserable front desk like they just got out of bed. Freezing cold floor, insulation issues, plumbing issues, dirty toilet seat...we're done. Would never stay at a Red Roof again.

Nice hotel close to RIT

Pros: The hotel location was close to the college. The hotel parking area was well lit.
Cons: Customer service from the clerk (at night) needs to be improved.
I booked my reservation thru Expedia. I was advised to call the hotel the day of visit since I was arriving late. I request a refrigerator in my room. The young lady confirmed that I would have one. When I arrived the gentleman told me that I didn't have a refrigerator. His response to me was You take the room or not. After driving over 6 hours, I wasn't in the mood to argue. When I went into the room and noticed that I needed an iron and board. When I went back to the front desk, I asked about an iron and board. I was told there weren't any. After calling Expedia to complain, I went back to front desk. A different gentleman was there. He gave me an iron and board. I had a 2 night stay. When I came back the second night, my key wouldn't work. I had to go back to the front desk to get the card rekeyed. The bed was very uncomfortable. I was unable to sleep because the people under me had 3 dogs that kept barking.

Pros: No frills, just comfort. Good price.
Cons: Cleanliness (a glass behind the room curtains, little bits of paper under bed,
Location: Lots of typical suburban sprawl things around.
Essentials all there and functioned well. Comfortable bed. Cleaner than most other hotels of same type have been. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location fine. Good chain, I'll stay with them again. Thanks.
