Looking to the future, ignoring the present.Posted Jul 13, 2015 on Hotels
This section of the property is due to be demolished when the new tower is completed. It is clear that a decision has been made to not spend any care on the old section. We have stayed in many Marriott properties and this was, by far, the tiredest of the lot. Staff were very friendly and accommodating but we have stayed in a Motel 6 that was as comfortable and a lot less expensive.

Rooms were very run down. Furniture was filthy, torn dirty carpet, dings in the wall, black mold or discoloration in the bathrooms, and the fireplaces are not usable. Our room smelled of smoke so we asked to be change to a new room. The new room smelled better but just as dirty and old as the first room. I usually like Marriott hotels but this place needs to be renovated! The staff was very friendly and breakfast was great.

Avoid sofa beds!Posted Jun 30, 2015 on Hotels
We booked a room with 2 beds and a sofa bed for 3 adults. We were given a room with 1 bed and a sofa bed. Thus 1 adult had to sleep on a pull out couch. Very uncomfortable and not what we would expect for $191 per night. Also our room was 1st floor tower next to the door. We heard it bang shut until late at night and again early in the morning. And ... We booked over 3 months in advance.

Good stayPosted May 27, 2015 on Hotels
I made reservations nine months in advance (son's college graduation), requesting a suite with 2 double beds. When we checked in,around 7:30pm, the clerk stated there were no double beds available, but he could give us 2 King bedded rooms for half price. When I checked my cc statement online, I was charged 1 1/2 times my original booking price!!! They did quickly and easily change it though. I just point it out so you carefully check your bill. The suites were comfortable and clean. The breakfast provided every morning was plentiful with a decent variety. They just started construction in the back tower (where we were) so parking was always an issue. I can't address the noise level of the construction as we were there on a holiday weekend. But I would recommend not staying in the back tower as that is where the construction is taking place.

2 Days GetawayPosted Apr 23, 2015 on Hotels
The suites were great. There is construction on the location but did not take away from our stay. When completed it will enhance the property. Stay if you get a chance.Great local on the other side of the interstate.

Great place to stay in RochesterPosted Jan 23, 2015 on Hotels
This was one of the most pleasant stays that I have had while traveling for business. the staff was warm and welcoming. The room was more then I expected, large and spacious and the evening snack time was an added bonus!
