To suggest that this property is 4 stars is more than a little bit of a stretch. I’m guessing that it was a chain hotel that was “refurbished” to create the spa.
Unless we got a bad room because we went thru Expedia, I would give the property a 2.5 stars. The mere fact I’m leaving a review should tell you something. I avoid doing this usually, but felt duped by the description.
Let’s talk about positives…location.
Negatives…wasn’t sure if the front desk person worked there or was just covering the desk for a moment (no uniform), tried to charge me an extra $10 for a “facility fee”, wrinkle sheets (did someone lay on the bed?), random microwave sitting on the counter with cords hanging across a sink (had to just unplug and move everything), couldn’t control the AC/heat (?!?), stained/ burned light cover in bathroom, no water pressure in shower but a toilet that would randomly run.
I would accept this from La Quinta or Best Western (and there are times when that is what you want/ need). Just don’t trick me into thinking I’m staying at a nicer place.
