Great stay
Great hotel with restaurant and a pool for the kids all in one location. Rooms were clean and updated. Beds were a little soft but that is preference so might be fine for someone else. Other than that was a good location for what we needed.

We received a room at the 4th floor at the end of the corridor, as requested at the time of booking. Too bad that the door of the room to the corridor is not at all sound proof, and you can hear all the guests slamming their doors getting in and out of the rooms. Moreover, the AC window unit is old and sounds like a jet engine, and we could not use it during the night. Only the fan was bearable and actually covered the noises from the corridor. The room was clean, but it was not clear whether it had been recently renovated, with not attention to detail at all (pencil signs on the wall, mis-aligned crown moldings, visible patches of spackle all over...). Breakfast is only available by purchasing a coupon to be used at the directly connected restaurant (Old Chicago). The reception staff didn't know that there are 4 RV plugs in the parking lot that can be used to charge EV vehicles overnight.

I apologize if the doors were slamming too loud. I will have my housekeeper check the 4th floor rooms for the issues you have noted. I will also tell my staff that the RV plug ins can be used to charge the electric cars, but to note that the speed is slow. Hope you had safe travels.

Hotel needs renovations and brought up to 2023.
We received a room at the end of the corridor on the third floor, as requested at the time of booking. That was appreciated. But a quieter AC that doesn't sound like a jet engine, would be nice. We had to keep it off during the night as it is way too noisy. The room doors to the corridor, are not sound proof at all. Whether you sleep or not depends on whether you are tired enough and your neighbors realize there might be other guests nearby, trying to sleep and don't slam the door. Breakfast is not available at the hotel, but at the nearby (directly connected) restaurant by purchasing a coupon. The staff at reception didn't know the location of 4 RV plugs that can be used also for EV overnight charging for free.

The bed was hard and itchy, my body hurt laying on it, the heater was too hot we had to set it to the lowest setting to sleep in winter when it was 15 degrees outside. And the room was in dirty conditions though the sheets were clean. The staff took a half an hour to check me in due to computer confusion over different systems.

Rates 1 star across the board. Snow and high wind prevented us from making it to Rock Springs for this stay. Called hotel but since it was booked through Expedia she said nothing she could do on refund. Called Expedia and they understood and wanted to refund but had to call hotel. Manager wasn’t available so had to wait. They responded two days later that hotel refused refund. Basically they played off each other but very disappointed the hotel declined to waive the policy.

I am sorry but like airline tickets, the rate you book determines the cancellation policies and we follow them strictly.

This hotel is ok. It is not up to the normal Holiday Inn standards. It needs to be updated. The best part is, it is attached to Old Chicago’s for food and drinks.

Very nice Holiday Inn, clean, comfortable bed & pillows, nicely updated, friendly staff and ample parking for our truck & boat trailer. The hotel is connected to an Old Chicago restaurant, which was very convenient. They also offer a $5 breakfast coupon that you purchase at the front desk of the hotel and take it to Old Chicago. You get 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage, 2 pancakes & a drink. You can also use it for $5 off any breakfast menu item. The hotel accepts pets and they don’t charge an arm and a leg for them! Unfortunately there’s a lot of irresponsible pet owners that have ruined it for the rest of us, so now most places charge ridiculous fees. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn.

Pet Wing?
We were placed in a room in the "pet wing" - but don't have pets. As such, we had 2 small dogs that would not stop barking in the room next door, and were running around in the room without supervision. Some people shouldn't own pets, but the service to correct our room was indifferent and rude. Never again will we stay at this property.
