Comfortable hotel with friendly staff

Pros: Clean rooms, good breakfast.
Cons: Heat the pool.
I stayed here with my family both grandma's and children. The check-in was very quick. The rooms comfortable and clean. Only recomendación I have if the pool could be heated. It was cold. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Great Customer Service

Kudos to the staff at this hotel. I left a few items behind and they not only found them, they sent them to my home immediately. Thank you so much for the friendly service. I will definitely stay again if I'm in Sycamore.

Pros: The room was very comfortable.
Breakfast was wonderful except for having the staff sweeping the floor while guests were eating. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience.

Clean and Comfortable

We were visiting Dekalb for a gymnastics competition for one of my kids. We brought our family of 5 and were not expecting a whole lot. We were pleasantly surprised with the spacious, clean, and comfortable room. The finishes were newer, there was a decent size refrigerator in the room, a newer television, the bathroom was nice, and breakfast was complimentary. For a small town, 3 star hotel, it was nice. There were also good well-known restaurant options just a block away. NIU and the High Schools are only a couple miles away.

Good Staff, Rooms Dated and Smelly

Great staff who were welcoming and there in a snowstorm! However, for $180, the rooms were a a bit dated and in need of some style and maintenance updates and a more efficient heating system. Due to a last minute booking, I was stuck with a smoking room- it's incredible they still exist- and the smell was pretty difficult to take. What was worse was that everything in the room- furniture, towels, bedding, pillows- all smelled so there was no relief. Even if smoking rooms are legal in IL, the franchiser and operator ought to seriously consider no smoking in the building like every Marriott and Sheraton branded hotel practices.

Thank you for your kind words about my staff. We try to air out our smoking rooms so in those times we have someone in need of a room we can use it but everyone's sensitivity is different. We will take your comments to ownership for future renovations.

Wedding weekend
