Pros: staff were friendly.
Cons: see above
Location: Close to bus station, lots of restaurants.
Hard to get into the parking lot- not hotel's fault, street construction. Air conditioner not working well, bathroom sink slow draining.

I am so sorry about the construction, the city is adding a new turn lane to make access easier in the future, but we absolutely understand the inconvenience this gives to our guests.

Walls are way to thin.

I have stayed at Red Roof Inn twice before but my last stay left much to be desired. The room had a strange smell and had a door inside the room leading into the room next door to me. Our neighbors were loud and rude where I did not sleep until 3am. I have hoped to stay at this location in the future hopefully it will be better.

I would like to apologize if any guests were anything but 100% courteous to others. We do have adjoining rooms for convenience of larger groups or families, but we understand the guests in the other room were not. We hope you give us another shot in the future.

Cons: The hotel is an older hotel, needs to be more modernized.
Older hotel and a little outdated. The receptionist was awesome! She had a situation happen and she handled very very well!

Not a great experience. Not a bad experience. It's a two star hotel. Great for a cheap night not for any long stays.

Cheap

Pros: The desk staff was very nice.
Cons: A good cleaning and airing of the room.
Non smoking room, but clearly not been in the past. The room needs a good cleaning in order to get rid of the lingering smoke smell. There was what looked like dried blood on the wall next to the bath room. The wireless internet was useless. Could not connect for more than a few minutes. Could not get to the Terms of Service page, so I was not able to log into the wireless network. Tech people called and told that they would "reboot" the router and to wait 5-10 minutes and I should then be able to get to the Term of Service page. That never happened.

The staff were very accomadating. They offered discount coupons for nearby restaurants. Being an older but nicely remodeled hotel the entrances to the rooms are from outside. With that said, it was a bit noisy at times with auto and truck traffic. Overall for the price this is a nice place to stay.

Good location, not bad for the price

For the price it is not bad at all. Very simple room, no coffee pot etc., but it was clean, I liked the location and for one night stay it is a fine place to stay. You can tell it worn but like I said it was clean.

Basic room close to restaurants & O'Hare bus

Cons: For the price, not much could be improved.
Location: Excellent location for restaurants, toll way access, & bus to Chicago.
Room did not have coffee maker, refrigerator, or microwave. Premium rooms are available that do have these. No breakfast is provided, but there is a Denny's across the street. There are many nice restaurants within a short walking distance for dinner. The Rockford-O'Hare bus terminal is a short walk away. Room was clean and comfortable.
