The hotel room wasn't anything g out of this world but it was not the worst . The from was your basic hotel room . The only issue I has was the fact that the toilet keep running . So I constantly kept hearing the water run all thru out the night

Money's worth

No extra cot available. Shower was great. Pool was fine. No hottub though. Breakfast was average however no leeway with times. At 900 everything started to be picked up. Door on room didn't shut well. Check in was great.

Pros: Easy access off Interstate.
Cons: More breakfast selections with some protein foods. Toilet was not working properly, but staff was quick to fix it whenever we called them.
Location: Northern Illinois University only .6 miles away. Restaurants, etc. close also.
Nice motel with reasonable rates, very friendly staff. Not many choices for breakfast.

An unexpected substantial snowfall interrupted plans for a Christmas party and our overnight stay. Rather than give us a hard time or resort to technical language, the staff could not have been nicer and released as from our reservation. Very classy place.

Nice location nearly to highways

Night recommendations to everyone, night nice place to stay during the trips breaks. And also just 5 minute to dekalb downtown and has a lot kinds of restaurant.

We just stayed at the Super 8 in DeKalb IL.....what a horrible experience! 1st...there wasn't any toilet paper in the room 2nd...we went to they pool and supposedly it was 82 degrees..NO WAY! We asked about turning it up and clerk said it takes 2-3 days to do it. Sand was also everywhere..in the pool and on the floor. 3rd. Later in the room, my son dropped something and it went under the bed so he bent down to get it and also found a MOLDY sippy cup under there! If the maid service missed something as simple as a sippy cup under the bed how do I know they cleaned the room?? Probably because they didn't since the tub had filth in it as well. 4th Hotel supposed to serve breakfast...waffle machine broken....had no milk so cereal was dry only..no fruit...5th we complained about all these issues only to be told mgr wasn't there so they couldn't do anything about it. Totally unhappy and will never stay at a Super 8 again.

A good stay

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nice. It was located in a good area close to the interstate and only a few minutes from the University of Northern Illinois. I would stay there again.
