The room was not cleaned very well, the curtains had layers of dust and there were ants everywhere. There was masking tape on the curtains and a huge gap under the door. The aircon getting hitting what sounded like a fan, such a loud awful noise. I ended up turning it off and due to asthma wasn't game enough to turn on the fan. I had selected to pay on arrival, but my card had already been charged. The lady at reception was nice however locked the doors after i walked out at 4pm.

The room was relatively clean. Beds were very comfortable. Had a ceiling fan as well as air con which was great to help block out road noise. Lady at the office was very friendly. Parking at the front of room was all under cover. Decently sized room. Will stay again for the price.

We only had a one night stop over and The Ambassador was an excellent location. Smooth and easy check-in, clean and quiet room.

Stayed for one night and got car broken into and bags stolen. Contact with manager was not very helpful. We were initially told it's not their problem but the problem of the police. While waiting for the police to attend, the manager informed us that if we would stay longer, we would have to pay for another night. Sorry but never again!

Dear Melanie, I believe you are being extremely unfair with your review. I can understand that you are unhappy regarding the break-in to your car. The manager was correct, this is a police matter. Your neglected to mention that the motel was fully booked and the police did not arrive until mid afternoon. The manager allowed you to stay in your room until the police arrived and that the housekeeper, left the motel (after completing her work) and returned to clean your room, so that you would be able to use the room until the last minute.

Was great except the pool was closed and we picked accommodation so the toddler could have a swim to tire him out after driving most of the day.

The room was clean although I suspect the bathroom was just given a quick go as there was shower water still on the floor. I know Covid knocked businesses around so many like this one must have let staff go. That shows with the supply of paper cups, no plates or cutlery and plastic glasses. For the money just a clean comfy bed and shower is provided. There looked like a restaurant once was and breakfast used to be offered. Now nothing. It was convienent to the shops which was just as well as no where in the advertising did it mention no food services but they did provide a kettle, tea, coffee, milk and sugar, a toaster and microwave. Overall, we had a comfortable stay but it’s just sad to see accommodation places looking so tired and run down due to lack of staff and maintenance.

With a little bit of love and elbow grease, this could be a really good motel. Needs a good makeover but it’s in a convenient location and as long as you don’t expect anything flash it’s fine. We would happily stay again if we were driving through Rocky

Friendly staff. Room could definitely use a renovation- very old. Rooms could do with wash cloths, bedside tables and bedside power points. There were several seperate groups of people have arguments outside the rooms throughout the night.

Check in was great and the lady who greeted us was very helpful. Our room was better than expected for the price and very comfortable. Plenty of amenities to say a few days - but, there was an inconsiderate guest/patron that kept coming and going from midnight every hour to 45 mins like he was delivering uber eats all night. Totally spoiled our stay. :(

Staff were friendly. Rooms were missing enough cutlery/crockery for all guests. Each room we stayed in was not as clean as expected, with dead bugs in showers and microwaves not being cleaned from previous guests.

Excellent reception lady very friendly and greeting. Motel is little old but in excellent condition and very comfortable. Great under cover parking and motel is sited in a really great accessible position. Will stay there again when in Rockhampton.
