Get ready to have a stuffy nosePosted Sep 20, 2015
The appearance to begin with the hotel is that it's clean. As soon as we walked into our room, we were hit with the smell of air freshners and plugins. The smell was so strong, it got my baby sick and my husband was congested for hours. I don't know what smells they are trying to mask, but to say it was overwhelming is an understatement. The sheets had stains on them too. We were awakened at 5:45 in the morning by an altercation that took place in the hallway. The hotel staff told us it was two prostitues fighting, which made me question why they have women working out of their hotel. I would never stay here again. It's unfortunate this is the only hotel option in rockmart. We will have to stay in a different town rhe next time we visit family.

Weekend get AwayPosted Jun 19, 2015
Econo Lodge Rockmart is a clean and fairly new hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with all request. The only down side to hotel there is no elevator to get to 2nd floor so if you don't like stairs make sure your on 1st floor. Pool was nice & clean closes at 9:30. I would stay at this hotel again.

Basic lodging priced on the high sidePosted May 11, 2015
Cons: Fix the bathroom odor.
At $70 per night this hotel could be quite a bit better. The room (single King) was clean enough and everything worked (TV, remote, a/c, plumbing, etc.) but there was a musty smell in the bathroom. I have stayed there before and had the same smell in other rooms. Continental breakfast was as advertised with no surprises. All in all this hotel is ok as basic lodging and the best thing in Rockmart, but I would definitely consider looking at hotels in neighboring Cedartown for a comparison.

Hotel Near the Silver Comet Trail.Posted Apr 27, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel was what you might expect from Econolodge. Room was fairly clean, but the sheets on the bed were thread-bare but appeared clean. The king-sized bed was OK. One morning our towels in the bathroom smelled strongly of smoke. They were either towels that should have been placed in a smoking room, or the person doing the laundry was smoking at the time. Breakfast was minimal. Cereal, waffles, bagel, bread, muffin, apples/bananas. Coffee and juice. Not much else. Also, only 4 tables in breakfast area. Manager was friendly. Hotel was in a good location with access to lots of fast-food restaurants. We were there to do some biking so it was a convenient location for us. There was an Enterprise Car rental within a couple miles of the hotel that we utilized.

Nice room. The sink was clogged. I arrived very late in the evening so I didn't bother with notifying the staff.

DO NOT STAY HERE!Posted Dec 1, 2014 on Hotels
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS _ EVEN CLOTHES - in the room!First morning we did not get our room cleaned because we "left the room to late to get service" (1015 am) We had to go get clean towels. Second day our room was cleaned MAYBE. The dirty towels were removed, the window curtain was pulled open. I know the bathroom was not cleaned. Had to go to front desk for toliet paper this night HOWEVER, when getting ready for bed I realized a NIGHTGOWN was missing. Manager was called and we were told he would talk with housekeeping to see if they saw it. Gown was in the top of the suitcase, so someone went into a suitcase to get it. No call back that night but at check out we asked about the call - Manager called her again with us standing there AND HANDED THE PHONE TO US to talk with her. He was not concerned at all about the situation. DIdnt offer to refund us for part of our stay - only said this gal had worked for him for a year and no complaints. WHen leaving to go to the front desk to check out and speak with the manager, we passed over 6 room doors wide open! Maid cart was centrally located between them all! When I asked about why all the doors were opened - the maid for this day - popped her head out from a room behind the front desk where she was on the phone! All those rooms were wide open for anyone to walk into! When I asked about this the Manager let me know that there were very few customers in the hotel so it was ok to clean this way!
