Great hotel close to sites of ancient romePosted Mar 18, 2018
Our first time in Rome. Hotel was in a great location for sites of ancient Rome. Found a mixture of eating places around but tried to avoid those overlooking the Colosseum due to high prices. Nice room with a view of the Colosseum although quite a lot of road noise if the windows were open. Only grumble was the small paper cups provided with the kettle and only 2 milks.

Birthday CelebrationsPosted Mar 13, 2018
Pros: Staff were very friendly, rooms available with a view to Colosseum.
Cons: Breakfast - it was 16 euros per person, we didn't feel like it was worth the price.
Location: Location is brilliant, right next to Colosseum and public transport stops is just outside the hotel doors.
Hotel staff very helpful, it was a very pleasant stay overall. Hotel went out of their way to make sure my birthday was well celebrated by leaving a bottle of bubbly in our room, which I actually enjoyed on the roof top while looking over Colosseum. A tiny mix up with the minibar bill as there was no price list in our room and after confirming with someone that the drinks were complimentary they were put on our account but after explaining situation they were kind enough to take them off. If ever in Rome again, will definitely stay there again.

Close to ColloseumPosted Mar 6, 2018
Location: Recommend the Vatican with a tour guide, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Colloseum, Forum
Brilliant - near Colloseum (800 mts) and bus/tram outside. Unfortunately, roof top bar was not open although the view from the roof is outstanding. Please note that the transfer from the airport (by bus) does not drop you at the hotel. Although the ticket states this, it also says it drops you at the Termini (main train station). You will then need to use Metro Line B 2 stops to the Colloseo and turn left out of the station and walk past the Collosum up the hill about half a mile to the hotel. Ticket for the metro can be bought from newsagents stall in the station. I would suggest you buy a 48 or 72 hour pass depending on how long you are staying in Rome. Also - where possible pre book your visits on the internet to tourist attractions, queues are horrendous.

Friendly staffPosted Mar 5, 2018
Pros: Friendly staff and close to attraction
Cons: The rooms to be a bit cleaner
Location: Location was great, close to everything we needed.
The hotel was excellent. Upon arrival the receptionist noticed it was my birthday and then arranged a “birthday present” for me. Prosseco was sent to my room, which was really nice. In addition, when checking out the hotel at 3am, the hotel booked a taxi for us which arrived in minutes. It was a good stay. The hotel is also located within walking distance of the majority of Ancient Rome and the city centre, with 2 metro stops 5 minutes away.

Nice Hotel close to the Colosseum.Posted Mar 2, 2018
Pros: We liked the beds, the friendly and helpful staff, the location.
Cons: Can't do much about the room size and it is central Rome. Could improve the hot breakfast by making it hot and better coffee please.
Location: 5 mins walk from the Colosseum and Colosseo Metro stop. We walked everywhere from here and explored some lovely neighbourhoods on the way.
Room (Superior Twin) was small - only one of us could move around at once and it was impossible to move in the bathroom without elbowing something, though the shower was good provided you remembered to move the towels out before you started showering! But the room was clean and well equipped and the layout was well thought through with good storage. Window was small and high. Bed comfortable and the little reading lights on flexible stalks should be compulsory in all hotels! So a great room for storing your stuff, washing and sleeping if you intend to be out and about all the time, not so great for staying indoors all day. We stayed in winter and it was cold outside (-8C) but the room temperature was fine. Hotel breakfast was expensive and not so good. The hot buffet was luke warm at best and served on cold plates. Coffee was instant from a machine (in Italy I found this very surprising).

Comfortable hotel 2 mins from The Coliseum.Posted Mar 2, 2018
Lovely friendly staff and good facilities. We liked that we could leave our bags between checking out and leaving for our return flights. The staff are also happy to print things for you free of charge - like online tickets etc. We also had a little balcony off our room which was just lovely - especially first and last thing in the day. Brilliant and convenient - 2 minute walk to the Coliseum!

Superb Hotel!Posted Feb 16, 2018
Location: 100 yds from the Colloseum, across the road from Basilica de St Clemets. 5 mins from Metro station
I booked this hotel for myself and my wife for our 20th Wedding anniversary. It was my wifes first time out of the UK and only my second time abroad. The hotel is clean and modern looking. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel left a bottle of champagne on ice for us in the room when we arrived, this was a really nice guesture on the hotels part and was an excellent start to our stay. The view from the roof is amazing. I really can't recomend this hotel highly enough. Thank you Colosseo!
