In general a good option to stay in Rome. Located on the edge of Borghese park which is very nice. Borghese Gallery is also not far, Piazza del Popoli, Spanish stairs 10-13 min away. A few really nice restaurants - 10 min walk. The property is screaming for renovation but this is not unusual for Italy. Staff were nice, but room keeping were forgeting to replace body lotion. Breakfast was not superb, but quiet decent. As we were at the begining of Apr, the garden and pool were not functional and even not gaken care of. The area itself is kind of quiet the by Aldrovandi street get busy early morning and the noise wakes you up with windows open. Bus stop is nearby.

Tram stop close to property was very convenient. Fun to hear sounds from the zoo across the street. Wish there would have been dining options within a reasonable walk from the property. No microwave in the unit - that would have been more convenient, especially since no close places to have dinner.

The property was in a nice location. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast offered was very substantial with lots of variety. First time staying at this location and would use this location again, I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay. It’s style is old Italian but still very comfortable. Plenty of room for family of 4 in our suite. Just note everything is 15-20 walk..but then you get to come Home To quiet area and relax away from center city. We used taxis a lot or walked a lot! Pool is fantastic.

Located by the beautiful Borghese Gardens, this property is in a nice quiet area, about 25 - 30 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps, which on a summers day @ 36 degrees is a fair walk. Perhaps a shuttle bus would be a good idea for elder patrons who can not walk that distance or families with small children. There are no restaurants close by and the nearest supermarket is a fifteen minute walk away, there is no mini market close by either. The staff provide excellent service though, were fluent in English and eager to help out. The apartment we had was a great size, comfortably appointed and breakfast was very good, the rooms and grounds are spotless, as is the pool area. However, at over 200 euro a night, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, it was one of those where two single bed mattresses are placed together to make a king sized bed. The mattress on the left hand side was obviously old and had collapsed on outside, the timber base creaking with every move made.

Room was large but dark and dingy. Bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Drinking water was extra charge. Pool was nice but pine needles kept falling on the chaises. Location was good. Staff was nice.

I would have given this property an excellent rating. Facilities were great, really nice breakfast. Room was spacious and cozy. My only disappointment was that cleaning staff took our purchased beach towels by mistake and they were never returned. What is more surprising is that when I asked if something could be done to compensate us, even for a small bar service charge to the room, management said No. That’s very disappointing and frankly not thinking about the big picture. Just left us with a bad taste.

The property is old but well taken care of. The prices were a bit high and no grocery or shopping stores near by. Also it is extra on cost because they are located outside the Rome walls I was told. Over all, not very centric location but comfortable to stay.

We were very well taken care of by all the staff here. We enjoyed our large rooms. We had one opportunity to swim in the pool but sadly the rainy cold weather for the rest of our stay didn't give us an opportunity to enjoy this more - other wise I think we would have greatly enjoyed the outside bar and lounge area! Breakfast was good. We loved being in this quieter area of the city - lovely walk through the park to get DT. Easy transportation (both taxis and trams etc.) Some great local restaurants too. We would definitely stay here again.

The stay was wonderful, especially the free breakfast. Not only was it buffet but also service to your tables! The location is a little outside of the touristy area of rome so transportation did take some additional time. Other than that, clean and great stay. Large room space and wonderful people!

The team within the property were very friendly and welcoming. Having our own kitchenette was great. We discovered the fridge wasn’t cooling properly, the team replaced it with an hour. There are some lovely walks in the park opposite the property. Visitor attractions are not that far either, walking or taking the bus or tram that stops outside the front door.

Really friendly staff, easy to get to, tram stop right outside. Lovely surrounding area with a park to walk through to the shopping area. Breakfast room was great with options to suit our family. Only negatives were the room was old fashioned and dark, but clean and had everything we needed, and unfortunately the pool wasn’t ready for use due to being the end of winter season. Great lounge area where we could wait for our airport transfer and charge phones before our homeward journey.

On the last day, I asked the front desk gentleman to call a taxi to FCO. He kindly recommended a "hotel taxi service". I asked the charge, he answered to me "$70". I asked whether the fixed rate to FCO was $50 ? He explained to me since the hotel was not located in ROMA downtown. I couldn't buy the explanation, he called a regular cab, we were charged the fixed rate and arrived FCO on time. It was quite and safe. The wood furniture was very old and the glass table was relatively new, however it's missing a lot of screws to secure the glass table top on the metal frame. Be very careful ! The breakfast was not too bad, but can be better for a 4 star hotel.

It was an old and historic building but well maintained. Very clean , friendly staff, good breakfast in a a very safe neighborhood . Located a bit away from the City Center. Shower wasen’t very functional. Overall we had a pleasant stay and definitely recommended

Not far from downtown, take a taxi around 15 mins cost euro 15, hotel is clean and has a small parking area for small cars, has a swimming pool. Room is clean too. We just stayed one night.

Cool, spacious and relaxing. You need this!
This is a traditional hotel with lots of lovely period features. The bedroom was huge! The large bed was very comfortable. The fitted kitchen was very useful. The swimming pool is big enough for a good swim after a day of sight seeing. Best of all was the happy friendly staff who were very helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of Piazza di Popola and the metro station I did find it a bit of a struggle in the intense heat. I would recommend a good knowledge of the bus, tram, metro layout of Rome

This is an elegant boutique hotel, in a beautifully kept and stylish neoclassical Roman villa. It is just above the Borghese gardens so you have the most delightful walk and can walk to everywhere or take the little tram that goes right past. It has a pristine and delicious pool which is the perfect antidote to a hot and dusty day of sightseeing in the heat of the summer. The staff are all long term and a wonderful and will treat you like family. Highly recommended.

Fine stay in Rome
This was a nice hotel with big rooms. You can catch several trams from outside the hotel which is really convenient and there is a metro station not far away. There aren’t any restaurant options in the hotels proximity but we rode a couple of tram stops to a lovely area with plenty of choice. We booked this for the pool as there was a heatwave when we were in Rome. It was okay however it is very tired and feels like a public lido. They open up the pool to the public so it felt quite busy and meant the showers and pool weren’t the cleanest. The sun loungers are very uncomfortable. The rooms however were very big and the beds were comfortable.

I recently stayed at the Aldrovandi with my 2 older childrem for 5 nights. The hotel was lovely and staff were polite, communicative, friendly and very helpful. Location was fantastic we were able to walk to a local supermarket and to the Flaminio Metro stop. The room had a well equipped kitchen with a good hob, microwave and fridge. The pool area was clean with plenty of sun loungers. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

The rooms were very clean, the service was excellent, the waiter always working with a bad attitude. there is no noise coming from the Zoo but the "Tranvia" passes every 10 minutes right in front of the property where the entire hotel shakes starting at 5 am

This is a gem. Gorgeous rooms and an elegant Roman Villa by the Gardens with a pristine pool but so close and so convenient. I have stayed many times and it never disappoints. The staff are absolutely wonderful and really care for you.
