The location was great as it's close to the Colosseum, roman forums and cat sanctuary) There were 2 major issues that I had though. Our bidet in our room (Room 305) had dried on urine splatter stains all over the bowl. We don't even use the bidet, but having to look at it was very unpleasant. I tried to call the front desk, but the phone did not work, so I had to go downstairs to request for someone to clean it. In addition, there was a very strong (mold?) odor coming from our shower. They came to clean it, but of course just plain cleaning isn't going to clear it. We were only staying 2 days and the smell wasn't noticeable when showering (although very prominent once we started going up the stairs to the bathroom), that we just dealt with it. We had to check out at 5:30am, but there was no one at the front desk. In a panic as we had to catch the bus, I ripped up a piece of paper from a notebook at the desk and put a note with 20 euros (hoping that was enough to cover it as that was all the euros we had left) to pay for city tax as we didn't have time to wait around for front desk to return. I had to run downstairs with the keycard to open the front gate (as we couldn't get out otherwise), run back upstairs to drop off the keycard so checking out was hectic. I was able to send them a message through hotels.com though and they informed me that they were in the breakfast room setting up at that time.
