Great value close to the Vatcian.

Posted Jan 6, 2016
Pros: Spacious! Great for our family to not be crowded in a traditional hotel room for a week. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very helpful.
Cons: The front desk is not staffed 24-7. They need an emergency contact number or email. Loud, noise from traffic and other guests.
Location: Great location, very close to the Vatican, public transportation and restaurants.
We had a great experience here. This is not a traditional hotel but apartments, which was great for our family. Our rooms were clean and as comfortable as most hotel rooms. We did not have maid service every day but did not need it. We never ran out of towels and had extra blankets and pillows. It was loud, we heard everything the other guests were doing and I'm sure they heard us too. I used earplugs every night, problem solved. It is on a fairly busy road so we had to be careful when exiting and crossing the street to the sidewalk. The only problem was key breaking off in locks. When it happened to us the desk was staffed and we were able to get into our building. It happened to another guest when the desk was not staffed and I'm not sure how the guests in that building got in.

Hello, thanks for your message, we are glad to know that you appreciated the spacious apartment, the buffet breakfast and the helpful staff. We understand that not being open 24 hours can be an inconvinient but now our reception is open till 23:30, and now we have a new buzzer, so there is a code to get into the main gate and the apartment's building, so there is not need anymore fo using the key!!! Hope that you will be able to come back and we will be really happy to welcome you again!!! Warmest regards,

Very Nice large apartment near Vatican City

Posted Jan 4, 2016
Pros: The people working there were super nice
Cons: exit button for the outside gate for people who check out after hours.
Location: Walking distance to Vatican city and most ancient rome ruins.
Very clean and spacious apartment very close to Vatican City. The people working the desk and breakfast area in the morning are super nice and ready to be helpful.

Pleasantly surprised

Posted Dec 31, 2015
Pros: Location was close to Vatican but not in a busy tourist spot. It was a short bus or taxi ride to all major attractions.
Cons: My only complaint was the size of the shower. My husband is 6 foot tall and about 340 pounds. It was tall enough but a very tight fit.
Location: Just down the road we were able to walk to a market and a few restaurants. 15 minutes walk down the road was Vatican City.
This was our first trip to Rome. My husband and I traveled with our teenage daughter so privacy was important. The two bedrooms with a hallway and bathroom in between worked out great for us! We all had our own space and the rooms were clean. The living room and balcony were a big plus. The staff was VERY helpful and kind. Gennardo took very good care of us at breakfast each morning. He remembered what we liked to drink and made us feel at home. It was conveniently located (15 minute walk to Vatican) and even closer to the bus stops but it is not in the middle of the major tourists spots. I would stay there again!

More than comfortable

Posted Dec 29, 2015
Lovely and helpful staff — couldn't get better. Breakfast was just right and the staff are always there to chat and say hello. Rooms are very comfortable and large, however we don't recommend a room near the road because unfortunately it was quite noisy at night with trucks passing by but it was noise you could and can sleep through. The stairs area are also quite noisy, especially in the mornings but only if youre sleeping on the sofa, if you sleep in the bedroom, you wont hear a thing. Nonetheless, plenty of room and a great location — ten minutes from the vatican and when youre there you can pretty much walk everywhere. I would highly recommend getting a place near the Vatican instead of Termini because its beautiful at night and if you stay here, it's absolutely no problem whilst if youre in termini, it's a trek, and there are so many wonderful places to eat near the vatican and around the river near Piazza Navona! And if you stay here in Aurelia, by the time you get back — youre comfy, you've got the fastest wi-fi, theres plenty of room and places to get a little bite on your walk back. And if you want to go to a papal mass, this isn't too near or too far — away from the crowded shops but not too far at all. Stay in Aurelia! :-)

Near the vatican

Posted Nov 4, 2015 on Hotels
The man who runs the kitchen/ breakfast was amazingly kind and friendly. All other staff were professional, but when we arrived after 10pm with children in tow and were exhausted the staffer still insisted on talking through their 20-minute spiel, which we found unhelpful. The room was large but outdated. And the staffer explained how we had to remove all of our own trash, despite having daily maid service - then the breakfast server corrected him by saying that is only large volumes of trash - who knows as we have not yet been 'fined.' Also, unless you arrive with your own car be prepared to risk your life as you leave the premises. The entrance is a gate at a driveway. There is no sidewalk on the side of the building. The street is fairly busy. We arrived at night via taxi and had to get ourselves, luggage, and children across the street - it was a bit too much like real-life frogger. We would not stay here again. We increased the stars given to service only because of how nice the kitchen/breakfast server was.

Hello, thanks for sharing your experience, we are sad to know that you found problems in crossing the street, normally the taxi drivers turn and arrives to the main gate, on our side, so we think you started in a bad way, was evening, you were tired, so we can understand that whatever the colleague who welcome you told you was too much for that moment, we have rules to explain during check in so he was respecting it, our product is an apartment not a hotel room, so we feel like a must in order to make more comfortable our guest to explain how is the apartment composed and rules, maybe we could've explained it to you the following morning. We are happy to know that at least our colleague in the breakfast room was kind and friendly. So at this point we wish you all the best, Regards,

Tolle Lage am Vatikan

Posted Oct 28, 2015

Very handy for all the sights. Good restaurants just along the road. Brilliant staff, very helpful and great breakfast buffet. The apartment was very spacious though the decor is a little tired looking. Overall was just what we were looking for and I would highly recommend it.

Dejlige store værelser og vi nød at brede os få minutters gang til Peters Kirken og der var også få minutter til bussen og vi var hurtig midt i den gamle bydel
