Very nice to have our own bathroom and balcony. Our stay was cut in half due to the weather for aircraft. The staff was wonderful. Having a shared kitchen was very convenient. Thank you so much!!

Convenience at the vicinity of St Peter's Basilica and the Metro line, though the property is a bit old, In addition to being so helpful, Lorenzo does his best to keep the place pleasant to his guests with daily attended room service and a special selection of goodies for breakfast etc.. Wish to visit again.

Great room
The room at the apartment was excellent. Very clean and spotless, comfy beds and great added touch of air con. Good location near the Vatican and plenty of restaurants and shops near by. The host Lorenzo and his mum where brilliant very friendly and kind and very helpful for tips and trips. Just remember only 2 people in the lift at one time! Would highly recommend to stay here.

II Colonnato has great location. Very close to Vatican City, about 10 minutes walk. Bus stop just in front of the property. Lorenzo was very helpful and accommodating especially about questions regarding Rome. Gave us map which is very helpful. Snacks, fresh fruits were always available. They replenish them everyday. Had great vacation in Rome.

Lorenzo made our stay more than we expected.He arranged our airport pick up and drop off✔️ the breakfast/snacks was awesome and replenished often✔️the lication is as described on the website✔️he gave us pointers on where to go to eat, best gelatos and must have espressos and cafes✔️ my 3 aunts had the best experience and vowed to come back sooner rhan later. we already tild our friends and families to book at Il Colonnato👌 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Visit to the Vatican
Perfect location for the Vatican. Close to the bus lines to The Collesium. Grocery across the street. Lorenzo was very helpful. His English was perfect.

The facility is excellent for a short term stay. Lorenzo was fantastic when greeting us. He also looked after our transportation from the airport and the following day to the port. The breakfast is all you need. Very clean. Currently enjoying morning espresso on the balcony. There is a 10 euro city tax we were unaware of upon check in.

Great stay, great location.
I cannot emphasise enough how great our stay was here and how helpful Lorenzo was. We chose this place because of the reviews and they weren’t wrong. Great location and excellent service. It was nice that the breakfast options were there all the time. After a long day trip to Pompeii it was nice to be able to grab a bottle of water and some cereal. They also had useful things like bottle openers and wine glasses which made sitting out on the balcony of an evening lovely. I would recommend to any of my friends or family visiting Rome soon!

Lorenzo was extremly helpful. We will be staying at 8 holtels during our trip and he was the only one to thank us for the booking and offer any assistance within an hour of the booking. Before our trip he responded to 5 or 6 emails with questions. When told we were driving, he gave us his personal cell number to call if we had troubles. On arrival he suplied us with a map of the main area of Rome and circled and discussed several of the interesting places to see and various ways to get there. Also a few restaruants close to most of the places.

The room was well attended and very clean. There is a small continental breakfast available. The host is very kind and attentive. Location is a bit out of the way for historic Rome sites, but close to Vatican City. There is a bus stop directly outside, but in our experience the bus you need was quite infrequent. We waited up to 45 minutes one day.

Lorenzo was very communicative prior to the trip and extremely helpful with information about what to see, where to eat etc. We were a short walk to the Vatican and the free street parking made check in easy. He recommended a local trattoria that was delicious and inviting. The place was clean and included all amenities needed including help yourself foods for the B&B aspect. Definitely woukd stay again!

Lorenzo was wonderful! As soon as I booked my room, Lorenzo sent me a text message with all the details. He waited for us, gave us a map and some restaurant recommendations. This place is about 3 blocks from Vatican City and one block from bus station that will take you to the colosseum. I strongly recommend this hotel. Oh btw the pizzeria on the first floor is a must.

What a little gem!
We stayed for 3 nights in Il Colonnato. We were met by Lorenzo who gave us a lovely welcome, taking the time to show us some places of interest, where to eat and even where to catch the hop on hop off buses. The room/en suite bathroom with shower was spotless. The bed was comfortable. There was a table and two dining chairs in the room allowing you to eat your breakfast. Breakfast was continental style with bread, cheese, meats, jams, fruit and some lovely cakes, biscuits, together with a fine selection of teas and coffee. There was a fridge which had milk, bottled water and fruit juices. Everything was replenished each day. There is a communal area which is shared by 4 rooms as you enter the door to the apartments, which is where the aforementioned supplies together with sink, cutlery, crockery and much more are housed. The room had a TV and air con. The apartment is located very close to the Vatican. You can see the Basilica when you turn left out of the communal front door. There is a metro station within 5 minutes walk. 10 minutes walk and you're in St. Peters square and the Vatican. 20 minutes and you're in the central area of Rome. We did use the hop on/off bus which is a great way to see some of the sites, but the most enjoyable thing for us was just wandering around and stumbling across iconic places like the Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and the Pantheon and so much more, we loved it!

Amazing B&B in Rome
Amazing!!!! Beautiful place, very clean, very close to the Vatican by walk and all the other area, very good restaurants close by. Lorenzo And his mother are absolutely fantastic, they will do everything to make you feel like home, also his mother speaks French, Italian and English, wich is very helpful. The little breakfast in the morning is very good. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone, safe area and the market is just across the street. Thank you again

Pleasant stay. It was a 15 minute walk to Vatican City. Cafe’s and restaurants within walking distance and bus stops to the city across the stree. We used the 916 bus to get to tourist destinationions. Great host and helpful. Our room was always clean and snacks, and cold water always available. It’s a great find with AC.

Excellent Service and Value
This BB was great for our needs. My friend and I arrived in Rome, after disembarking from a cruise. We had a 8:15 am tour of the Vatican but check in for our room was at noon. We called to see if they would keep our luggage since we had our cruise. The manager agreed to do so and literally met us on the curb to the entrance of the BB to get our luggage and give us a key to our room so that we could immediately leave in order to make our 8:15 tour. With just minutes to spare, we walked from the BB to the Vatican and connected with our tour guide just in time. Location is conveniently located to the Vatican. The room itself was clean and comfortable and had A/C (a lot of places in Rome do not have A/C). It had it's own bathroom/shower too. In the common area there was a refrigerator filled with drinks and fruit, coffee maker/coffee and teas of various kinds together with a variety of cakes...all good. We were only there one night but would stay there again without hesitation.

Spacious and quaint B & B
The owner was extremely nice and accommodating. He provided us with a wealth of knowledge to get around, what to see and also helped to book a shuttle to the airport for us. The room was very quaint and clean. A nice balcony allowed for us to enjoy breakfast and the afternoon sun. Close to the bus stop and about 10 minutes walking to the Vatican.

Short stay in Rome
With only two nights in Rome we simply needed somewhere to rest our heads at night and freshen up in the morning. Il Colonato did this and more. Very clean room, nice balcony to have breakfast, but most of all Lor nul was was helpful with information, assistance, and general friendliness. Well placed formthe Vatican, just a 10minute walk, there’s a bus to the Coliseum and other old city attractions, so really convenient for what we wanted. Overall, a lovely firiendly establishment, comfortable clean and welcoming. We would stay again, and have recommended it to friends

Wir waren zwei Nächte als Familie mit zwei Kindern in Rom. Unsere Mädels wollte da gar nicht weg. Am liebsten hätten sie noch ein paar Tage dort verbracht. Die Unterkunft liegt direkt neben dem Vatikan. Man kann alles zu Fuß erreichen. Und Lorenzo macht den Aufenthalt zu einem einmaligen Ereignis! Einfach nur toll!

Hier stimmt alles!
Lorenzo hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen. In allen Bereichen hat er uns unterstützt, bei der Suche guter Restaurants, bei der Organisation unserer Besichtigungen, bei der Suche nach besonders guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, beim Transfer vom und zum Flughafen. In diesem B&B möchten wir noch oft wohnen. Il Colonnato ist sehr nah zum Vatikan, man geht aus dem Haus und sieht sofort ganz nah die Kuppel des Petersdoms. Super!

Lorenzo est très sympathique et a à coeur de recevoir ses clients avec tout le confort.Il n'hésite pas à prendre du temps pour renseigner sur les différents sites à visiter et à nous conseiller de bons restaurants. fantastisk ophold i Rom
Super dejligt ophold. Rent og pænt værelse og dejlig morgenmad som du selv kunne tage i køkkenet. Dejligt med muligheden for at lave kaffe når du kom tilbage fra en lang dag i Rom. Værten Lorenzo er meget hjælpsom og behagelig.
