Not so pleasant!!!

Posted Nov 12, 2015 on Orbitz
The hotel is very far from the airport, like a 45 to 50 minute drive. The taxi cost is approx 50€ each way. The hotel staff tries to get you too book the taxi so they can get a commission and the cost is more. The rooms are on the small side, typical Europe rooms. The air conditioning is controlled by the hotel so if youre there during fall or winter months, you willl have no qir conditioning just because it may be cold outside and the room is very stuffy. There is nothing around the hotel to see or eat. So if you wish to not be stuck with high taxi bills and bad customer service, stay away from this hotel.

Great experience in Roma

Posted Oct 15, 2015 on Ebookers
We spent the weekend in Rome and we had a great time in Rivoli. Even the location was not a problem for us, we discovered the city by bus :). It is a very safe and quiet area (lot's of embassies). The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. Dinner and taxi reservations worked out just fine. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Very good restaurants and bars for 'aperitivo' in the neighborhood. I'll definitively will book this hotel the next time I'm in Rome.

A 4 stars well located

Posted Sep 2, 2015 on Hotels
Rivoli Hotel is a 4 stars hotel, no more no less. It is well located if you want to enjoy Villa Borghese and the Zoo. The neighborhood is quiet. The hotel Architecture is classical. The hotel has an small lift that does not allow to carry a wheelchair open, it is necessary to close it. The breakfast is good enough.

A little off the beaten path...a long walk or cab ride into center of town, but a nice hotel with helpful staff

Great service for good money

Posted Jul 2, 2015 on Ebookers
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel location was good as you could connect with Termini station with the 910 bus. The neighborhood is peaceful and nice. Not many restaurants around and a local supermarket a few minutes away. Breakfast was good, and the hotel overall was very clean. The room that we stayed had a lovely balcony. Overall it's been a great experience. Would come back.

OK hotel, but nothing exciting

Posted Jul 1, 2015 on Hotels
I stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is a bit dated, but was clean and functional, with reasonably fast internet. The stay were pleasant and were very helpful. I ate in the hotel once, the food was OK, but the bar was run by the duty reception runner so the service was not very attentive. overall a pleasant stay in the hotel in Rome.

Rivoli for roamin'

Above every other comment here please know that the complementary breakfast is the absolute best at Hotel Rivioli with fresh baked pastry and cakes, eggs, pancetta, fruit, and enough to make a lunch or late night meal to keep in your 'frig! It is an elegant facility that reflects the opulence of travel of a by-gone era which is somewhat obscured due to what must be insurance concerns from the Best Western take-over. Apparently the all-marble interiors which have been covered with carpeting and wall fabric, although tastefully done, must've eliminated slippery issues. The bathroom probably had a tub which must have been replaced with a lovely modern curved shower that unfortunately leaks - ironically creating very slippery marble in the one place it remains. The location is a bit removed from the main sights but is a couple of blocks from the Bourghese Gardens which was reviving in a city that is mostly cobblestone. Final note, the hotel works with a car service that (for less than $60 for both of us) got us to Fiucimo in under an hour and avoided getting our (now stuffed) carry-ons and back-packs onto the bus and train for the same amount. Thank you Hotel Rivoli!
