Close to station and restaurants

Posted Apr 24, 2017
Pros: Proximity to station, easy to arrange transport etc concierge
Cons: No fridge in room, no tea coffee making facilities and no iron and ironing board. Hotel has no iron at all you have to send it out and pay. Room small
Location: Ok would prefer being near Trevi fountain etc.
An older hotel basic but clean some good restaurants nearby.

hotel in rome

Posted Apr 21, 2017
Pros: We loved the floor to ceiling windows. The suite was beautiful. The jet tub helped us relax after a day of walking. GREAT LOCATION next to the train
Cons: nothing
Location: Near to on off green bus line, good places to eat, near the Maggoire church.
We booked the suite # 3 in Rome and it was one of the most beautiful rooms we have had anywhere in our 80 countries we have travelled. We loved the floor to ceiling windows with the metal blackout shutters. The wrap around veranda had beautiful views with flowers and trees in pots with a private table outside. We enjoyed the jet tub in the marble bathroom after a long day of walking. It was convenient to the on off green line bus and a wonderful local restaurant IL Secchio. The staff was courteous and friendly. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the view from the balcony looked towards St Peter's !

Olde worlde charm close to Termini & key interests

Posted Mar 13, 2017
Stylish old hotel with great charm extending to its staff. Could not be closer to Termini station but also short walk to Colisseum and Santa Maria Maggiore. If you like crisp and new then not for you. Appeal to those seeking an old Italian feel.Nice lobby area, twin ooom fair size, clean and bright. Would have liked the shutters to work but minor issue. Had kettle, fridge, toiletries etc. For view of all Rome, try breakfast on the roof terrace.Dining roomall dark wood & mermaids. Fabulous stay.

Excellent hotel in Rome city center

Posted Feb 4, 2017
Pros: Comfort, location, courteous service, and views from the rooftop garden restaurant.
Cons: The number and position of wall outlets available for plugging in my electronic devices could be improved for greater convenience and easier access.
Location: The hotel is just one block away from Termini Station = fast, easy access to train and metro service. 10-15 minute walk down to Roman Forum.
The Bettoja Mediterraneo Hotel offers clean, comfortable rooms, courteous staff and professional service, and outstanding amenities such as its original "razionalista" (1930's - 1940's style) architectural design and furnishings and a fabulous view overlooking the Rome skyline from their enclosed rooftop garden restaurant with outdoor terrace on the 10th floor. The experience of eating the excellent buffet breakfast while seated at a table and looking straight at the front of St. Peter's Basilica just two miles away, or the snow-covered Apennine Mountains to the east and north was unforgettable. The restaurant food served at lunch and dinner is also excellent, and the prices are reasonable. Ask for a room on back side of hotel if you want a quieter room, as the hotel fronts on a busy street.

I stayed three evenings. The location was very convenient to the central train station in Rome and most tourist destinations were easily accessible.
